📦 Installation Guide

🟦 Microsoft Edge / Chromium

1. Download the archive: SoundForge-Equalizer-v3.22.8.zip

2. Extract to any folder

3. Open Edge → edge://extensions/

4. Enable "Developer mode"

5. Click "Load unpacked"

6. Select the extracted folder

🦊 Firefox ESR

Option 1: XPI — Quick Install (Recommended)

1. Download the XPI file: soundforge_equalizer-3.22.8.xpi

2. Drag and drop the file into an open Firefox window

3. Click "Add"

Note: If Firefox blocks the installation, go to about:config → search for xpinstall.signatures.required → set to false.

Option 2: ZIP — Developer Mode

1. Download the archive: SoundForge-Equalizer-Firefox-v3.22.8.zip

2. Extract to any folder

3. Open Firefox → about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox

4. Click "Load Temporary Add-on"

5. Select the manifest.json file

🛡️ How to Disable Firefox Security

If Firefox blocks the .xpi installation:

1. Open Firefox and type about:config in the address bar

2. Click "Accept the Risk and Continue"

3. Search for xpinstall.signatures.required

4. Double-click to set it to false

5. Restart Firefox

6. Drag and drop the .xpi file again

⚠️ Security Warning: Only disable signature verification for trusted extensions.
