@MayberryDT MayberryDT released this 02 Oct 07:03
  • Take Control opens about four times faster, with no confirmation box when you take over from an agent.
  • A floating Hand Back button stays above the viewer, even in fullscreen; Ctrl+Alt+Shift+H hands back from inside the viewer.
  • Questions and login requests offer Take Control, and Done & Hand Back answers a question before the agent carries on.
  • ibara draws its own request pop-ups with answer buttons, with settings for request kinds, Do Not Disturb and desktop notifications.
  • The console checks for updates, shows each computer's version and the available release, and reports update progress and results.
  • Update ibara correctly recognizes idle computers and keeps older computers updatable; Update All updates this computer last.
  • The bar icon matches the other icons' size and text color and follows your theme.
  • ibara supports Hypoland as well as Hyprland.
  • The ibara core is now MIT licensed; the separate viewer and stream keep their GPL licenses.

  • Login sharing: an agent can ask to use your logins for the sites a task needs, and you answer once with Share, Don't Share or a rule for that computer or all computers. ibara copies only those sites' cookies from your own browser, and agents never see them.
  • The console's Logins tab and Settings show which sites each computer may use, and Remove takes a site's login off a computer.
  • Taking control no longer ends the agent's task: its questions stay open while you work, and after Hand Back it carries on and gets your answer.
  • Desktop notifications for approvals, logins and an agent's questions carry their answer buttons, so you can answer without opening the console, and they say who is asking, where and what in short lines.
  • Task details lead with the outcome and how many checks were met, show the agent's summary and its reasons, and list what it did oldest first, with repeated steps folded and failures in red.
  • A command step keeps the command it ran, so task details say what ran and whether it failed.
  • Text across the console uses the theme's colors for what each line means, and While you were away shows each event with its time and a colored tag.

  • Each computer's page has a Windows tab: its workspaces and the windows on each, so you can clear away windows an agent left behind without asking an agent.
  • Close asks a window to close; a terminal asks you first, since anything running in it stops. Move To… puts a window on another workspace without changing what that computer shows.
  • A window the agent at work is using says so and can't be closed or moved until its task stops; a window an agent left says which task opened it.
  • Closing or moving a window needs the Take Control permission, and each one is written in that computer's history.

  • One Update menu: Fleet Actions has Update ibara on All… and Update Omarchy on All…, and each computer's System tab has Update ibara and Update Omarchy.
  • Update Omarchy now runs Omarchy's system update (omarchy update -y) with nobody at the computer and no password: ibara allows sudo for that run only and removes it when the run ends, fails or is stopped.
  • A computer that needs a restart after its update says "Updated · restart to finish" and offers Restart; one updating says "Updating Omarchy…", and a failed update says so in a message and on its System tab.
  • Only one update runs on a computer at a time.

  • Update ibara on your other computers with nobody at them: a computer's System tab has Update ibara, and Fleet Actions → Update All updates ibara on every computer, this one last. Each computer checks the release's signature before installing, as ibara update does.
  • The System tab's old Update is now Update Omarchy…, which still runs in a window at that computer and asks for its password.
  • A computer running an older ibara says so; update it once at that computer with ibara update, and Update All works from then on.
  • A locked computer you hold control of reads You have control, "Screen locked · type its password in the viewer", instead of Locked.

  • Computers that agents use stay awake: ibara turns on Omarchy's Stay Awake, so the screensaver and idle lock no longer shut agents out.
  • A locked computer reads Locked in the console instead of going offline, and Take Control still works: unlock it by typing your password in the viewer.
  • While you hold control, Hand Back sits where Take Control was, with Open Viewer beside it, which becomes Close Viewer while the viewer is open.
  • Keys: T takes control, V opens or closes the viewer, H hands back.
  • Fleet Actions has Update All: one confirmation, then every computer that can update does, with this computer last.

  • A fleet card that rises under the pointer now stays clear of the toolbar instead of sliding under it.
  • A computer that joins your fleet arrives on it: "On your fleet", then its picture comes up, with a ring that fades.
  • When someone accepts a pairing code, both screens show the match with a check before moving on.
  • Hand Back lets go of your ring around the picture: it opens outward and fades.

  • Agents go by short names: Codex is codex@your-computer and Claude Code is claude@your-computer, instead of their programs' long names. Their permissions and tasks carry over on update.
  • An agent can reuse a request id for a new request in a new session. Resending a request with the same id and arguments still returns the first result and never does it twice.
  • The editor ibara opens uses your own Mousepad settings. ibara turns off Mousepad's session restore, which also turns off its autosave, so a restore prompt never takes an agent's typing.

  • Agents can read long web pages: the page reader reads a long article in well under a second where it used to take half a minute, so agents are no longer told that no browser tab is available. The browser loads the new page reader the next time it starts.
  • The ibara skill tells agents to make each request id unique and to check the editor's settings in the editor itself.

  • Remove Computer, in a computer card's menu and on its System tab, takes a computer off your fleet; Add Computer shows Add Again for a computer that answers as a new one, as after a reinstall, and replaces its old entry.
  • A computer that can't be reached says why in plain words; one whose identity changed says to remove it and add it again.
  • Copy Prompt in Connect an Agent keeps the prompt's lines, so the note your agent adds to its instructions file comes out intact; the prompt now asks you to restart the agent when it can't load new tools itself.
  • Agents' clicks on elements in the file manager and the text editor work where they were refused, and double and right clicks on elements work.
  • Agents can type into an app's own popup, such as the file manager's rename box, and Escape closes it. This takes effect after you sign out and back in once.
  • Apps an agent opens start in your home folder.
  • After Hand Back the console says whether the agents can work again; a computer paused after a restart with Resume agents after a restart off says so and offers Resume.
  • Setup says plainly when you must sign out and back in before agents can click and type, as after uninstalling and installing again in one session.
  • Read-only tools are marked read-only, so agents such as Codex and Claude Code can allow them without asking you each time.
  • On a web page, an agent that tries an action an element doesn't take, such as clicking a text box, is told which actions it takes and how to type into it, instead of being told the element is ambiguous.
  • Checks read what the agent sees: a text check on a web page reads the whole page, so a finished browser task comes out complete; a check ibara can't read, such as text in a terminal, takes the agent's own assessment and says so.
  • ibara --help and ibara --version; ibara rollback says at once when there is nothing to go back to; ibara uninstall removes what setup added and says what stays.
  • An unmet file check with a relative path says where it looked.
  • If your agent was connected before 0.1.0-17, paste the prompt from Connect an Agent to it once more.
