About this Release

I've ported the GUI to a crossplatform Python framework and from now on I'll offer both the Win32 version and this version since I want to support as many platforms as possible and have as little bloat as possible.

Running Instructions

  • Python should no be required
  • Note: macOS builds were generated by GitHub as I lack Mac hardware 馃拃
  • The output .iso will be in the folder you ran the program from.

Windows

  • Just extract the zip file of your choice
  • Then double click on the GUI executable
  • Follow the instructions in the window to give it the .bin file and .cue file for the CD rip you wish to turn into an .iso

Linux and macOS

  • Install bchunk via your package manager (it is in brew)
  • Extract the zip file pertaining to your OS
  • Double click on the GUI executable
  • Follow the instructions in the window to give it the .bin file and .cue file for the CD rip you wish to turn into an .iso

About the Win32 version

See the previous release for information about this version. Only the x86 (32bit) version works on Windows 98, Me, 2000, and XP (as well as Server 2003, 2008, and 2008 R2).

The program now uses .NET Framework v2.0, making it compatible with Windows 98, Me, 2000, and XP (as well as Serer 2003, 2008, and 2008 R2)! I intended to support v1.1, but it was easier to port it to this. With this you lose official support for Windows 95 and NT 4.0, but there are ways around that unofficially.

There is also a normal 64bit verson too.

  • The x86 version is not self-contained and you will have to download .NET 2.0 or 3.5.
  • It will run just fine on Windows 11
  • Now featuring several hundred megabytes less bloat for such a simple program

Most of this is the same as v1.0, but the code is a little better and a 64bit executable is provided.

The only function of bchunk supported is converting a single track BIN/CUE to ISO, as is intended for PS2 backup loader, OPL, when loading CD games.

With this release you have an amazing UI that lets you select a bin, see it selected, select a cue, see it selected, and then convert. Basic error handling is present to prevent the thing from exploding.

The provided binary is self contained, but if it does not work, install at least .NET v10. In the provided zip, which is only for x86, the latest release of bchunk is included. It is 10 years old so it is unlikely to change.
