Welcome to the first official release of Spectrum! 🎨

Spectrum is a modern, intuitive color palette editor built with Avalonia UI. Create, generate, and export beautiful color palettes for your design projects.

🎨 Color Panel

  • Real-time color editing with Hue, Saturation, Brightness, and Temperature sliders
  • Live preview of your selected color
  • HEX input for precise color values
  • Smart color naming that automatically identifies your colors

🎯 Palette Management

  • Add colors to your palette with one click
  • Lock colors to keep them safe during palette generation
  • Reorder colors with up/down arrows
  • Rename colors with inline editing
  • Copy/Delete colors individually
  • Clear palette with a single button

🧠 Smart Generation

  • Harmony rules (Complementary, Analogous, Triadic, etc.)
  • Space to shuffle — instantly regenerate your palette based on harmony rules
  • Locked colors are preserved during generation

👁️ Accessibility Tools

  • Color blindness simulation:
    • Protanopia (red-blind)
    • Deuteranopia (green-blind)
    • Tritanopia (blue-blind)
    • Achromatopsia (total color blindness)
  • Live preview of how your palette looks to color-blind users

🎨 Theme Support

  • Light/Dark theme toggle with ☀️ button
  • Consistent theming across all panels

⏪ Undo/Redo

  • Full history tracking for all palette operations
  • Undo/Redo buttons for worry-free experimentation

🖼️ Extract from Image (Coming Soon)

  • Extract colors from images and import them into your palette (WIP)

🚀 Installation

Download

  1. Download the attached Spectrum.exe file
  2. Run the executable — no installation required!

System Requirements

  • Windows 10 or later
  • .NET 8.0 Runtime (included in the self-contained build)
