First public preview of CursorEqualizer, a Windows tray utility for adjusting cursor size across monitors with different display scaling.

Features

  • Per-monitor cursor sizing from 16–128 pixels with live preview.
  • Calibrated, Fixed, and Auto sizing modes.
  • Saved calibration settings.
  • Dark calibration window and tray controls.
  • Pause/resume and cursor-theme reload.
  • Standard Windows startup integration.
  • Installer with a Start menu shortcut and uninstall through Windows Settings.
  • Bundled .NET runtime—no separate runtime installation required.

Installation

Download and run CursorEqualizer-1.0.0-Setup.exe under Assets.

Closing Settings keeps the app running in the tray. Use 'Exit & Restore Default Cursors' to exit completely.

Measured performance

On our Windows 11 / Intel Core i5-14400F test PC:

  • Background: 0.016% average total CPU and 82.63 MiB resident RAM over 61 seconds.
  • Rapid monitor crossings: 0.84% average total CPU and 84.30 MiB resident RAM over 10 seconds.

These are short measurements on one PC; results vary by hardware and workload.

Known limitations

  • Upgrade/downgrade and startup-toggle/restart checks remain open.
  • Auto mode’s physical-size formula is experimental; use Calibrated mode for visual tuning.
  • Elevated startup uses Task Scheduler and is separate from Task Manager’s startup toggle.
  • The installer is unsigned; Windows may display a security warning.
