PicoStack v0.1.0 — first complete prototype generation
The first complete, verified generation of the PicoStack board family — five boards, all generated by the headless KiCad toolchain, all DRC-clean and measured against the contract.
Boards in this release
| Board | What it is | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Base board | Pico socket, 24 V input, 5 V rail, token chain driver | DRC 0/0, all probes green |
| Motor module (type 0x01) | DRV8876 H-bridge, STM32C011 co-processor, dual-channel opto-isolated e-stop loop | DRC 0/0, all probes green |
| Dimmer 1/3/4 (types 0x10–0x12) | Low-side N-MOSFET LED dimmers, ~3 A per channel, generated from one parametric description | DRC 0/0, all probes green |
Fabrication data
Each picostack-<board>-fab-v0.1.0.zip contains Gerbers, drill files, pick-and-place positions, a JLCPCB-format BOM + CPL, and an UNBESTUECKT.txt explaining every deliberately unpopulated position (stack connectors are hand-fitted in the mated stack so the contacts align without strain).
LCSC part numbers appear only where they were verified on a product page; all other lines carry descriptions precise enough for automatic BOM matching.
Status & caveats
- Prototype. None of these boards has been fabricated yet — this release exists so the first fab run is reproducible.
- Routing is intentionally non-deterministic (freerouting): the committed board files are the artifacts of record, guarded by DRC and the contract probes.
- Firmware is not part of this release.
