Changelog

  • Added automatic surround-to-stereo/mono downmixing (center dialogue, rear/side/height channels, LFE) with clipping headroom.
  • Added live input/output channel mappings and explicit downmix status.
  • Improved native multichannel output when enough ASIO channels are available.
  • Improved compatibility with legacy PCM audio headers.
  • Fixed mono playing through only one side of a stereo device. It now plays through both outputs.
  • Fixed multichannel playback failing on ASIO devices with fewer outputs than the source.

Installation

  1. Download the ZIP for your MPC-HC architecture (x64 or x86).
  2. Close MPC-HC, extract the archive and run Install.cmd.
  3. Select your ASIO device, then select ARE Audio Renderer in MPC-HC's audio output settings.
