iOS distribution update — October 1, 2026: Public IPA downloads have been retired as distribution moves to the App Store. Official App Store links will be shared when available. Historical release notes and source code remain available.

ForgeSign 2.7

This release ships an unsigned iPhone and iPad IPA. Sign it with your own certificate and provisioning profile before installing.

Changes

  • Install is OTA-only again. The paired-device (idevice/LocalDevVPN) path from 2.6 was enabled by default, took over from the working OTA install, and could crash on a second install; it has been removed along with the Device Installation card.
  • Apple Account provisioning only runs when your imported certificate and profiles cannot sign the IPA, so a working manual setup no longer waits on Apple's sign-in service.
  • When only app extensions lack a matching profile, Sign Without App Extensions signs the app instead of stopping.
  • Apple sign-in failures show Apple's actual response instead of a blanket "HTTP 503".
  • ForgeSign no longer claims every .plist file in the share sheet.

Verification

  • Release device build and IPA structure validation passed.
  • 47 iOS simulator tests and 6 IPA packaging tests passed.
  • Signing and installing on a physical device still require validation with your own account and device.
