A Minimum Quantity Lubrication system based on a car fuel injector and a garden sprayer.
This MQL system uses a car fuel injector to spray a minimum quantity of lubricant at a pulsed rate and low pressure. The interval can be set from 2 Hz to 50 Hz, the spray time from 0.5 millisecond to 1 second. A garden sprayer is used as low pressure "pump" so no need for an air compressor. Due to the low pressure, typical far less than 1 bar, the drops are large and the risk on aerosols is minimal.
