PiG 0.4.1 follows Pi 1.0.3. It brings Pi 1.0.1 to 1.0.3 to PiG and fixes every bug reported since 0.4.0.

Breaking: Pi 1.0.3 renamed the Azure provider to azure (it now also serves Chat Completions). Rename the key in auth.json (or run /login), models.json and settings.json; see docs/providers.md.

Thanks to @kryoz (#132, #133), @baggiiiie (#137, #135), @liyu1981 (#145), @danielsreichenbach (#128, #129, #141), @ShoichiTect (#146, #147, #148), @xinaps-dev (#140), @jasalt (#154) and @ZoomQuiet (#136).

Follows Pi 1.0.1, 1.0.2 and 1.0.3

  • Provider and catalog updates: Anthropic inline tools, Bedrock thinking and pricing, Azure Foundry DeepSeek V4 Pro, NVIDIA Nemotron, Llama 3.3 70B prices, and more.
  • registerToolRenderer draws any tool's calls, in every SDK (Node, Go, Python, Rust).
  • The durable runtime gains bounded file and directory readers, file watching, argv exec, windowed shell output and configurable progress commits.
  • Home and End always move the editor cursor; fullscreen top and bottom are Ctrl+Home and Ctrl+End.
  • Output files (truncated tool output, MCP binaries, codemode images) are readable only by you.
  • llama.cpp reasoning models offer off, minimal, low, medium and high thinking, each with its own budget (D90).
  • In fullscreen, /pigsayhi plays Pi's 3D easter egg with your sprite's pig (D87).
  • PiG warns you to restart when an update replaced or removed the pig it runs from (D95).

Fixed

  • Sign in with ChatGPT works again: both pig login and /login pass the installation ID (#146).
  • Pressing Esc or Ctrl+C in a login dialog cancels the login cleanly (#152).
  • ModelRuntime.Login in the Go API works for built-in and models.json providers (#147).
  • An extension input handler that asks a question no longer freezes the terminal (#145).
  • Extension exec returns on time when a background process keeps its output open, sends SIGTERM like Pi, and reports Pi's exit code (#154).
  • On Windows, the bash tool keeps every line of a command's output (#149).
  • Extensions see the new model and thinking level in model_select and thinking_level_select (#128).
  • A provider an extension registers is visible to that extension at once; pi-background-tasks 2.6.9 starts again (#140).
  • Custom editors show the working status inside the editor (#135).
  • No more blank "Steering:"/"Follow-up:" rows for extension messages (#141).
  • /reload notices a quick edit to a Python extension file.
  • Extension processes are stopped when the terminal dies, and Termux (Android) can install packages and run tools again.
