Release list
1.7.0
Adds Pawan, a playable stereo delay — the tenth plug-in in the suite.
- Single, Dual, Ping-Pong and Ratio echoes; tempo-synced or free time, with Repitch or Keep Pitch.
- Performance gestures: Normal, Trigger, Roll and Freeze, with x0.5 and x2 while held.
- Character (drive, noise, lo-fi, wobble, EQ), diffusion, space, a multitap layer and a modulation matrix.
- Sixty-four presets in eight categories. Zero added latency; the panel opens at 1180 × 740 and resizes.
- Manual:
docs/Pawan/MANUAL.mdanddocs/Pawan/MANUAL.html.
Install: copy plugins/Pawan.jsfx into REAPER's Effects folder and choose JS: Pawan (DataBeat). MIT licence.
1.6.0
Panels now resize. Drag any edge or corner of the plug-in window and the panel follows it, keeping its proportions exactly: nothing is stretched or rearranged, the whole panel scales together and stays centred, and everything is redrawn at the new size rather than magnified, so text and graphics stay sharp. Shiro keeps its own Scale control and steps through fixed sizes instead.
Every plug-in now carries the DataBeat authorship mark, and appears in REAPER's list under its own name followed by (DataBeat).
Satoshi opens at 1330 x 992 so the whole panel fits on a laptop screen; nothing is clipped any more.
Satoshi and Yoshi have user manuals for the first time. Every other manual has been rewritten to explain how its panel behaves when the window changes size, and the panel photographs throughout have been retaken.
1.5.0
Adds Takashi: cassette-inspired tape effect (drive, tape coloration, peak rounding, tonal tilt, motion, hiss, Link-Stable), twelve factory presets. Nine plug-ins total.
1.4.0 — Shiro
Adds Shiro, a granular instrument: one recording of up to twelve seconds becomes playable, built from grains, with eight voices, twelve grains per voice, two LFOs, a random walk, a per-note envelope, MIDI sources routed to fourteen destinations, and four macros. One hundred presets on twenty-four CC0 recordings that ship with it; your own WAVs are prepared once and stored inside the project.
Shiro is a folder rather than a single file, because it carries its own recordings — copy the whole plugins/Shiro folder into REAPER's Effects and keep it together.
Shiro's code and documentation are MIT; the twenty-four factory recordings keep their own CC0-1.0 terms.
Tested on macOS with REAPER 7.8. Not tested on Windows; it has run on one Linux machine, played rather than measured.
1.3.0
Adds Raja, a beat replayer for REAPER: scheduled or hand-played repeats with Gesture Sync (presses and releases land on the next sixteenth, eighth, quarter or bar), Repeatable Chance (the random decisions come back at the same places in every pass of a loop) and twenty presets. Manual in Markdown and self-contained HTML under docs/Raja. The six existing plug-ins are unchanged.
v1.2.0
Momiji 1.0, a new algorithmic stereo reverb. Sixteen-line feedback delay network with in-loop low and high damping, balanced modulation, a Warp control that moves from echo clusters to a dense field, and Delay that can lock to the host tempo (1/32 to two whole notes, dotted and triplet). Fifty presets, a Switch Flip button, zero latency. Manual in Markdown and HTML with screenshots.
The other five plug-ins are unchanged.
v1.1.0
Haruki 2.1 — ten individual outputs.
Outputs 1-2 still carry the mix of all ten channels, bit for bit. Outputs 3-12 carry the ten channels one by one, in order: mono, after gain, mute, solo, envelopes and filter, and before the pan control, so panning a channel moves it in the mix and leaves its individual output alone.
To use them: set the track to 12 channels in the Route dialog, then take each channel with its own send or receive. Haruki writes outputs 3-12 on every sample, so it belongs first in the FX chain.
The other four instruments are unchanged.
DataBeat JSFX Plugins 1.0.0
Initial public release of five JSFX instruments for REAPER: Haruki, Satya, Kozue, Satoshi, and Yoshi. Includes the plug-in source files, manuals, screenshots, and complete per-instrument licence information.
