No. It synchronizes volume and optional mute state. It does not capture, stream, redirect, or modify audio.
No. Control is local between the computer and speaker.
No. Closing Settings hides the window. Use Quit from the tray or menu-bar menu to stop the app.
It controls one selected Sonos device. For a group, create the group in the Sonos app and select its coordinator in Volume Bridge. Reliable group and stereo-pair control is tracked in issue #86.
Two-way synchronization is enabled by default. On the first confirmed connection, Sonos state is applied to the computer. Disable two-way synchronization to make the direction computer to Sonos only.
The selected speaker did not expose the feature or the app could not read it. Refresh after reconnecting. If it remains gray, treat the feature as unsupported for that device.
Polling fallback is a working recovery mode used when normal event delivery is unavailable or stale. The bridge can continue synchronization, so the user-facing state remains Connected.
The v1.3.3 direct-download Windows installer is not digitally signed. Install it only from the project's official full-release page.
The v1.3.3 Ubuntu AMD64 package requires PulseAudio or PipeWire's PulseAudio compatibility service and the pactl command supplied by pulseaudio-utils. See the Ubuntu guide.
