Radix — a Finder-native disk space analyzer for macOS. It looks like Finder because you already know how to use Finder: every folder shows how much space it's eating, sorted biggest-first at every level, with parent-relative size bars and one-click Move to Trash.

Install

  1. Download Radix-1.0.0.dmg below.
  2. Open it and drag Radix into your Applications folder.
  3. First launch (one time): this build isn't notarized yet, so macOS Gatekeeper will warn. Right-click Radix → Open, then click Open in the dialog.

Requirements: macOS 14 (Sonoma)+ · Apple Silicon or Intel (universal binary).

What's inside

  • Finder-style outline with parent-relative size bars and sticky size-sort
  • Move to Trash with a confirmation + reclaimed-space total, protected-path safety, and instant live re-totaling
  • Quick Look · Reveal in Finder · Copy Path · Get Info
  • Full Disk Access onboarding; cloud-aware — never materializes online-only files
  • Smart lists (Large files, Old and big); sidebar Favorites + Volumes
  • Remembers your last scan and reloads it instantly (no rescan)

Notes

  • Not yet notarized (needs an Apple Developer ID certificate) — hence the one-time right-click → Open. A notarized build and a Homebrew cask will follow.
