Headent Client 1.0.2

Feature release focused on picture-in-picture behaviour on TV, faster channel
zapping, clock-format support and an audio-sync fix for Amlogic-based boxes.
Available on Google Play.

What's new

  • Channel zap bar (TV) — switching channels with CH+/CH− now shows a
    compact bar with the channel logo, number, current programme, times and
    progress, then hides itself — like a classic TV. The previous behaviour
    (opening the channel overlay) can be re-enabled in
    Settings → Appearance → Overlay when switching channels.
  • 12/24-hour clock — new Time format option (Automatic / 24-hour /
    12-hour    ) in Settings → Appearance. Applies everywhere: player, TV guide,
    home screen and archive; Automatic follows the system setting and reacts
    to changes immediately.
  • Universal APK — releases now also include a single APK containing both
    32-bit and 64-bit libraries for sideloading on any device.

What's fixed

  • Floating PiP window left behind — selecting another channel from the TV
    guide while the player was shrunk into picture-in-picture no longer leaves
    an orphaned floating window (and no longer risks a black screen when two
    player instances fought over the hardware decoder).
  • PiP now lives only inside the app (TV) — pressing Home no longer turns
    the player into a floating miniature over the launcher or other apps, and
    leaving the app closes an in-app miniature automatically. On phones,
    auto-PiP keeps working as before.
  • Radio never enters PiP — leaving the radio player hands playback to the
    background service (modern UI) instead of creating a pointless
    picture-in-picture window.
  • Audio delay on Amlogic boxes — the default audio output is now PCM
    (app decodes the sound itself). On some boxes the automatic surround
    passthrough added several hundred milliseconds of latency that the app
    could not compensate. Bitstream passthrough for AV receivers is still
    available in Settings → Sound.
  • EPG layout with 12-hour time — wider time labels no longer overflow in
    the guide and archive, the hour ruler shows full times (9:00 AM) and the
    "now" bubble is centred correctly.
  • Settings cleanup on phones — TV-only options (channel-switch overlay,
    autostart) are hidden on phones.
