Fixes gold being displayed as "white gems" and the underlying mismatch between generated object/monster IDs and the Android engine. Both the host generators and Android now use the same MAIL setting. Native builds check the generated counts and compare all table entries.

Download UnNetHack-6.0.15-dev-arm64-preview2.apk below. ARM64, Android 6.0/API 23 or newer; experimental debug build, versionCode 6001502.

Save compatibility

Use a new character name. Saves from preview 1 and the earlier local Android builds have incompatible table metadata. The corrected Android restore entry point preserves incompatible saves and stops loading instead of deleting them. This does not migrate or repair old games; keep the older APK and backups if you need them.

This APK uses the same debug signing key as GitHub preview 1, so it can update that installation. The earlier locally installed test build uses a different key. Do not uninstall it without first preserving your saves: uninstalling may remove app data.

Verification

  • Rebuilt game data, Lua, all 134 native source files and the Android APK.
  • Regression check fails on the old tables and passes on the corrected tables.
  • Save-entry-point test verifies that incompatible saves are not deleted.
  • On a Samsung S22 Ultra, a standalone probe loaded this actual native library and verified "gold piece" and "gold pieces" through the game's naming function. No app or save was opened by the probe.
  • APK signatures verified; a complete gameplay test of this APK is still pending.
