Console‐Commands
MineAlphaProxy ships with a set of built-in console commands. These are available from the proxy console and manage the proxy itself — not to be confused with plugins that add player commands.
While the proxy is running, type the command in the terminal and press Enter.
> help
[..] INFO c.m.MineAlphaProxy - Available commands:
[..] INFO c.m.MineAlphaProxy - /help - Show all available commands
[..] INFO c.m.MineAlphaProxy - /stop - Stop the proxy
...
Commands can also be prefixed with / — both help and /help work.
| Command | Arguments | Description |
|---|---|---|
/help |
none | Show all available commands |

none | Stop the proxy gracefully |
/reload |
none | Reload core.yml and language files |

Shows all commands registered in the console dispatcher. Both core commands and MineAlpha plugin commands appear here.
> help
[..] INFO - Available commands:
[..] INFO - /help - Show all available commands
[..] INFO - /stop - Stop the proxy
[..] INFO - /reload - Reload core.yml and language files

[..] INFO - /plugins - List loaded plugins

Stops the proxy gracefully:
- Fires
ProxyStopEventto plugins - Disables all plugins (
onDisable) - Shuts down the scheduler
- Closes the Netty server
- Exits the JVM
> stop
[..] INFO - Stopping proxy...
[..] INFO - Stopping network server...
[..] INFO - ViaProxy stopped
Do not close the terminal window manually — always use /stop so plugins save their data.
Reloads the config and language files without restarting.
> reload
[..] INFO - Loading config from core.yml
[..] INFO - Loaded language: ru
[..] INFO - Config and language reloaded
What is reloaded:
-
core.ymlvalues (MOTD, servers, default-server, advanced settings) - Language files from
lang/
What is NOT reloaded (requires full restart):
-
bind.hostandbind.port -
plugins.velocity-dirandplugins.bungee-dir - Loaded plugins
- Modern forwarding secret
Lists all backend servers with their addresses and marks the default one.
> servers
[..] INFO - Configured servers:
[..] INFO - lobby -> 127.0.0.1:25566 (default)
[..] INFO - survival -> 127.0.0.1:25567
Lists all loaded plugins grouped by type.
> plugins
[..] INFO - Loaded plugins:
[..] INFO - [Velocity] 0 plugin(s)
[..] INFO - [MineAlpha] 1 plugin(s)
[..] INFO - - minealphaproxy_tools
If no plugins are loaded:
> plugins
[..] INFO - No plugins loaded.
Switches the console language. Available codes depend on the files in lang/:
> lang ru
[..] INFO - Loaded language: ru
[..] INFO - Язык переключён на: ru
After switching, all subsequent plugin messages that use Messages.get(...) come out in the new language.
Note: Only the language of messages shown to the console changes. Player messages keep the language set in core.yml until restart or /reload.
Shows a summary of the running proxy.
> proxy
[..] INFO - Proxy: MineAlphaProxy v1.0.1-ALPHA | bind: 0.0.0.0:25577 | default-server: lobby
Shows only the version string.
> version
[..] INFO - MineAlphaProxy v1.0.1-ALPHA
Commands added by MineAlpha plugins are also available in the console, as long as the plugin registers them.
For example, after installing MineAlphaProxyTools:
| Command | Description |
|---|---|
/alert <msg> |
Broadcast a formatted alert to all players |
/broadcast <msg> |
Broadcast with a decorative frame |
/find <nick> |
Show player UUID, IP and online status |
/ip <nick> |
Show the player's IP address |
/kick <nick> [reason] |
Kick a player |
/mlist |
List online players |
/ping |
Show proxy status |
/send <nick> <server> |
Move a player to another server (WIP) |
/server <name> |
Switch server (WIP) |
/tools |
Show all plugin commands |
See MineAlphaProxyTools for full details.
Console output supports ANSI escape codes on Windows 10+, Linux and macOS. Color codes used in messages:
-
§a/&a→ green -
§c/&c→ red -
§e/&e→ yellow -
§7/&7→ gray -
§b/&b→ aqua -
§l/&l→ bold
If your terminal does not show colors (older Windows cmd.exe), use Windows Terminal instead.
On Windows, always launch the proxy through run.bat (which includes chcp 65001 and -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8 flags). Otherwise Cyrillic and other UTF-8 characters may appear as ??????.
Tab completion is not yet implemented in 1.0.1-ALPHA. It is planned for a future release.
- Modern Forwarding - connect to Paper backends
- ViaProxy - multi-version support
- MineAlphaProxyTools - plugin commands
