Packet Structure

Packets are sent over a channel with the identifier of "openservermap:channel".

Version 1 (Current)

The first byte contains the packet data structure version (Always 0x01)

All proceeding bytes are 26-byte chunks (one for each player being transmitted) with the following information:

  • 16 bytes containing the player's UUID
    • The first 8 byte chunk contains the most significant bits
    • The second 8 byte chunk contains the most significant bits
  • 8 bytes containing the player's geo-relative coordinates
    • The first 4 byte chunk contains the player's latitude as a float
    • The last 4 byte chunk contains the player's longitude as a float
  • 2 bytes containing the player's yaw as a short
    • The short value to transmit is determined by multiplying the player's yaw (range 0-360) by a conversion factor of 182.0444
    • The original value is determined by dividing the player's yaw by a conversion divisor of 182.0444

Names and skins are determined client-side.
