This release incorporates the improvements made during the the Journal of Open Source Software (JOSS). review process.

Features:

  • Improved installation and dependency management with separate requirements.txt and requirements-dev.txt.
  • Added and verified missing dependencies and documented Python/NVFlare compatibility.
  • Added Git LFS setup instructions for the included Mindboggle example dataset.
  • Fixed simulator configuration and gradient-handling issues.
  • Added automated testing with pytest and GitHub Actions CI.
  • Added an end-to-end MeshFL training and inference demo, including a Google Colab version.
  • Expanded documentation for training configuration, simulation outputs, troubleshooting, and GPU/CUDA compatibility.
  • Added dataset inspection and dataset creation notebooks.
  • Improved repository organization and removed redundant files.
  • Updated the JOSS paper and documentation.

This release provides the finalized, documented, and tested MeshFL implementation reviewed for JOSS.
