Audexi 1.2.0
Audexi 1.2.0 — serial-number activation, and three installs per licence.
A desktop audio converter for Windows and macOS. Drag in files, pick a format, and convert to OGG, WAV, MP3 or FLAC.
Buy a licence at ctrlcolab.com/audexi — $4.99 one time, covering three installs and every 1.x update.
What's new in 1.2.0
- Licensing moved to serial numbers. Your purchase email now contains a serial; enter it on first launch and Audexi activates it online — once — then verifies it on your own machine from there on. Roughly monthly it re-checks in the background, and the rule that check follows is one-sided by design: silence never locks you out. Offline machines, server outages — Audexi keeps working, with no offline time limit. The only thing that ever deactivates a copy is a refunded purchase. Licence files from earlier purchases keep working — the activation screen has a "Have a licence file instead?" section.
- Three installs per licence (up from two): a desktop, a laptop, and a spare.
Details in the updated EULA and Privacy Policy.

| Platform | File |
|---|---|

| macOS 11+ (Apple silicon) | Audexi-1.2.0-macOS-arm64.dmg |
Activating
Your purchase email contains your serial number. On first launch Audexi asks for it; activation takes a moment online, and after that Audexi runs without a connection. If your email came with a licence file instead (earlier purchases), open the activation screen's "Have a licence file instead?" section — those keep working, permanently.

Notes
- The macOS build is signed with a Developer ID, notarized by Apple and stapled, so it opens with no Gatekeeper warning and needs no right-click-to-open workaround. Open the
.dmgand drag Audexi to Applications. - The macOS build is Apple silicon only (M1 and later). There is no Intel build.
- Windows installers are unsigned, so SmartScreen may warn on first run — choose More info → Run anyway.
LGPL — LAME
Audexi encodes MP3 with LAME, which is licensed under the LGPL. LAME is not compiled into the application: it ships as a separate library (libmp3lame.dll on Windows, libmp3lame.dylib in Audexi.app/Contents/Frameworks on macOS) that you are free to replace with your own build.
The complete LAME source this release is built from is attached as lame-3.100.tar.gz. The full component list ships inside the application as THIRD-PARTY-LICENSES.txt, alongside LAME's own licence text as LAME-COPYING.txt.

Activating
Your purchase email contains your licence. On first launch Audexi asks for it — paste the block from the email, or choose the attached .axlc file. Verification happens entirely on your own machine: there is no account, no activation server, and Audexi makes no network requests at runtime, so it keeps working offline.
