What’s New

  • Added Reading Mode for a clean, distraction-free view. Markdown syntax stays folded and the document remains read-only until you start editing. Reading Mode exits automatically when you type, paste, modify content, or switch tabs/panes.
  • Added clearer tab handling: files with the same name now show the shortest unique parent path, and long titles keep both their beginning and ending with a middle ellipsis.
  • Starred files now work outside the current workspace, can be managed from tab menus, and show their full path on hover.
  • Files and selections outside the workspace can now be added to chat terminals using absolute paths.

Editor Improvements

  • Fixed nested unordered lists being misidentified as headings, including deeply nested and blockquoted lists.
  • Fixed large Markdown documents losing fenced code block context across lazily parsed sections.
  • Improved code block wrapping, right-side padding, horizontal scrolling, and line-number layout.
  • Fixed mixed Latin and CJK text unexpectedly switching the entire line to a CJK font.
  • Improved heading-level icon visibility.
  • Reduced GPU usage caused by mouse movement over non-interactive editor content.

Platform Fixes

  • Windows now reuses a single Moeka window when opening multiple files and avoids duplicate tabs for the same path.
  • Fixed Windows and Linux PDF exports showing raw Markdown syntax instead of readable rendered text.
  • Fixed files opened externally on macOS not bringing Moeka to the foreground.
  • Fixed a possible macOS crash when using Reveal in Finder.
  • Network volumes without Trash support can now delete files directly when requested.
  • Fixed settings content being clipped or unscrollable on Fedora/Linux.

Updates and Reliability

  • Update checks now fetch release information first and download installers only after confirmation.
  • Added anonymous fallback when a GitHub token is rejected and clearer update/install error messages.
  • Fixed partial file deletion incorrectly closing tabs or removing stars for files that were not deleted.
