• Artist & Composer Navigation — Tap any artist or composer credit in the song options sheet to go directly to their artist page or search for them. Multi-artist credits are now split into individual tappable "Go to [Artist]" actions.

• Search by composer — Tapping a composer now correctly opens the search screen with their name pre-filled.

• Home feed region — Quick Picks and Featured sections now correctly reflect your account region instead of defaulting to US.
• Loading splash — Removed duplicate widget class that caused build failures on fresh installs.

Euphony v0.2.8 — Full songs play again 🎶

Fixes the big one: songs cutting out after about a minute.

🔧 Fixed

• Songs now play all the way through. YouTube had started cutting off the audio-only streams after ~1 minute. Euphony now uses a stream format YouTube serves in full, so tracks play start to finish without going silent.

Good to know

• Audio comes through a combined stream, so quality is solid (AAC) and playback is reliable. If you ever hit a track that won't play, please let us know.

Euphony v0.2.7 — Update inside the app 📲

No more hopping to a browser to update. When a new version is out, Euphony can now download and install it for you, right from the app.

✨ New

• In-app updates. Tap "Update now" and Euphony downloads the correct build for your phone with a progress bar, then opens the installer — no website trip, no picking the right file yourself.
• The update prompt appears when you open the app, and is also in Settings → App Updates.

🔧 Still included

• Reliable playback (the chunked-streaming fix from v0.2.6).
• Update notifications on launch.

One-time note: this build is signed with Euphony's new permanent key, so you may need to uninstall the old version once before installing. After this, in-app updates install seamlessly.

Euphony v0.2.6 — Playback fixed for real 🎧

Songs now load and play. Earlier versions could resolve a track but then fail to actually play it ("Source error"), because YouTube's media servers reject the kind of large, open-ended download request the Android player makes by default.

🔧 Fixed

• Music plays reliably again. Euphony now streams audio in small chunks that YouTube's servers accept, instead of one big request they refuse. This fixes tracks that spun forever or failed to load — including on mobile data, IPv6, and networks with ad-blockers or proxies.
• Switching songs no longer gets stuck.

YouTube changed how it serves audio, which stopped songs from loading in recent versions. This release fixes playback properly and adds update notifications so you never get stuck on a broken version again.

• Songs load and play reliably again. Rebuilt the audio engine against YouTube's latest changes and hardened how streams are fetched, so tracks stop failing to load.

✨ New

• Update notifications. When a new version is out, Euphony now tells you right when you open the app — with the release notes and a one-tap way to grab it. No more hunting in Settings.

• Media Notification Fix: Fixed an issue where the app would completely crash on track changes due to R8 shrinking notification icons (ic_stat_*) out of the release build. Notification actions (play/pause/skip) are fully visible again.
• Export Data Fix: Implemented native Android Secure Access Framework (SAF) MethodChannel bridging. Exporting error logs and backing up the database to secure Android directories (like Downloads or Documents) now works perfectly and no longer results in empty 0-byte files or MissingPluginException errors.
