Functional Blocks

Wooden Scaffolding:

A weaker, more expensive, and more aesthetically pleasing counterpart to vanilla scaffolding.

Can't reach quite as far without support as bamboo scaffolding, but is far easier to get early game.

Sconce Torch:

An aesthetic counterpart to torches which glows slightly brighter. Mostly just a decorative choice!

Also comes in soul flavor.

Tap:

A simple tap that empties fluid from whatever it is placed on and drains it into whatever is below it!

The main two uses of a tap are moving fluids between cauldrons and for Tree Tapping.

Warding Effigy:

A simple wooden figure of mysterious origin...

  • Blocks hostile mob spawns in a radius around itself.
  • Stops hostile mobs from passively pathfinding towards it. This means that they CAN still chase you into the radius, but will not wander into it of their own volition while meandering aimlessly.
  • The protected radius increases depending on how many effigies are placed on a single block.

Spike Trap:

A simple metal plate covered in sharp spikes.

  • Passively hurts any creature that stands inside the spikes.
  • Can be powered with redstone to retract the spikes.
  • If the spikes are unpowered and emerge while an entity is within range it will stab it for massive damage.
  • If the spikes are pushed into an entity with a piston it will be stabbed for massive damage
  • If an entity falls onto spikes, it will greatly increase fall damage similarly to pointed dripstone.
