v0.1.6 — Codex live mode, canvas safety & brand-aware agents
What's new in v0.1.6
Codex live mode fix
Codex launched from Monet's embedded terminal was silently running in file mode, meaning `editorctl` commands fell back to reading project files instead of reaching the live app. Two root causes fixed:
- PATH survives login shell: zsh's `path_helper` in `/etc/zprofile` overwrote the custom PATH Monet injected at spawn time. Fixed with a `ZDOTDIR` chain-load approach — Monet writes `.zshenv`, `.zprofile`, and `.zshrc` into `userData/zdotdir/` that source the user's real rc files and then re-prepend `Monet/bin` at the end.
- Codex wrapper PATH fix: The codex wrapper was stripping `Monet/bin` from PATH before exec, so subshells lost editorctl. Fixed so the stripped PATH is only used to locate the real binary; exec runs with original PATH intact.
Both fixes apply automatically on every terminal open — no user action required.
Canvas: HTTP bridge gains full canvas API
Added to the HTTP bridge (`localhost:51847`) so Claude Code has a working fallback:
- `canvas_run_paperjs` / `canvas_run_matterjs` — run scripts on a frame
- `canvas_get_frames` — list frames with IDs
- `canvas_loading` / `canvas_done` — show/hide loading overlay
Canvas: destruction safety
Agents were calling `canvas_clear` when setting up a new frame, wiping existing work. Added an explicit DESTRUCTION WARNING to all generated agent context files — agents must never call clear/delete unless the user explicitly asks.
Canvas: brand/URL fetch rule
When a user mentions a domain (e.g. `browser-use.com`), agents now must fetch the page and extract exact hex colors, fonts, and logo before writing any canvas code. Enforced via the UserPromptSubmit hook and all generated context files.
Canvas: full editorctl path fallback
Generated context files now include the absolute path to editorctl so agents with a broken PATH can invoke it directly.
Design mode removed
`canvas-add-design-frame` and `canvas-update-design-frame` removed from MCP, CLI, and all agent context. Only Paper.js, Matter.js, and GPT image 2 are offered.
Minor
- Remove `⌘↵ to apply` hotkey label from canvas right panel
