@Monotoba Monotoba released this 23 Sep 15:11

Wire-Wrap Tag Designer 1.0.1 improves installation, onboarding, and licensing while preserving the application's existing design workflow.

What changed

  • Adopted the BSD 2-Clause License for the current source and the v1.0.1 distribution.
  • Added an actual application screenshot and clearer first-run guidance.
  • Added direct wheel-installation instructions for users who do not want to clone the repository.
  • Fixed setup on Python 3.10 and 3.11 by bootstrapping the required modern build tools inside the virtual environment.
  • Verified the project across Linux, macOS, and Windows with Python 3.10 through 3.14.

Installation

Download wirewrap_tag_designer-1.0.1-py3-none-any.whl from the assets below, then run:

python -m venv .venv
. .venv/bin/activate  # Windows PowerShell: .venv\Scripts\Activate.ps1
python -m pip install ./wirewrap_tag_designer-1.0.1-py3-none-any.whl
wirewrap-tag-designer

This is a Python package rather than a standalone installer. Python 3.10 or newer is required. OpenSCAD is optional and is only needed for STL export.

License note

Version 1.0.1 is distributed under the BSD 2-Clause License. The existing v1.0.0 release remains available under its original MIT terms.
