v4.2.0 — Vision-enriched remix

What's new

The --remix flow now optionally runs computer vision over embedded images, not just text extraction.

--vision flag

When passed alongside --remix, every embedded image in the source deck is analysed:

• microsoft/phi-4-multimodal-instruct describes the slide's visual content (logos, diagrams, screenshots, photos)
• google/deplot extracts a data table from each image (kept only if output looks tabular — pipes + digits — to filter noise from non-chart images)

Both passes are concatenated with the existing MarkItDown text extraction and handed to the content provider (Claude or Palmyra). The downstream deck has both textual and visual context preserved.

Cost / latency

Two NIM API calls per image. A 20-image source deck adds ~30-60s. Skip --vision for text-heavy decks.

What's new

Remix mode

Upload any .pptx file and Claude rebuilds it as a polished deck. Uses MarkItDown (markitdown[pptx]) to extract slide titles, text, tables, and speaker notes into Markdown, then injects the result into the Claude prompt via <reference_deck> tags.

HTML escaping

All user-supplied content (titles, bullets, quotes, stats, image URLs) is escaped with html.escape() before being written into HTML output — closes a potential XSS vector.

Testable validators

validate_topic() and validate_output_path() now raise ValueError instead of calling sys.exit(), making them unit-testable. The CLI boundary catches ValueError and exits cleanly.

Expanded test suite

77 tests covering slide count constants, reference markdown injection, clamping, round-trip PPTX ingestion, HTML escaping, and include/exclude notes behaviour.
