A phone shows a tool first, and every link answers a thumb.

✨ Features

The first tool shows without scrolling on a phone. The welcome note folds
into one row, "About this site", that opens in place, with or without
JavaScript. On the demo at 390x844 the first card moves up from 777px to
402px, and the page ends at 2,012px instead of 2,642. On a wide screen the note
shows whole, as before.

Cards and detail pages read better on a phone. A card always shows its
hosting word next to the flag, not only on hover. The detail page puts Open
under the name it acts on, and a screenshot wider than the screen scrolls
sideways at a readable size, with a "See the full screenshot" link to the
image itself. The header carries a larger mark, and a long site name takes the
whole row instead of crushing the tools.

Every link and control is a 44px target, and every focus shows cairn's
ring.
The ring is drawn in the contrast-adjusted accent, so it holds 3:1 in
both themes whatever theme.accent you pick; an accent close to black can
still fall short in dark, as
Theming
says. The language menu and the phone menu button now carry their visible text
in their accessible names.

Three new strings, about.summary, shot.scroll and shot.full, ship in the
eight built-in languages and can be overridden like the others.

🐛 Fixes

  • The search field shows its whole placeholder on a wide screen, Linux's wider
system font included, and a phone drops the Cmd-K hint.
  • The built-in translations keep one form of address: Spanish and Dutch no
longer switch to the formal "you" on the leaving screen. Swedish hides the
welcome note with "Dölj" rather than "Avvisa" (reject), French sets a narrow
no-break space before "?", and a few words now match each language's own UI.
  • A printout shows screenshots undimmed and without a dead link.

🧹 Internal

  • The browser suite measures the phone layout on the demo, a long site name
and every built-in language, right to left included, and checks the focus
ring's own contrast. 287 checks, up from 104 in 1.24.0.
  • The README counts eight languages, and its screenshots show this release.

docker pull morgankryze/cairn:1.25.0 # or: ghcr.io/morgankryze/cairn:1.25.0

This release also moves 1.25, 1, stable and latest, on both
registries. Docker Hub gets the digest ghcr signed, copied rather than
rebuilt, so the two are the same object and cosign verify works on either.
