bug(YouTube): Shorts content not loading when scrolled

Bug description

Youtube App version: 20.47.62
Patched version: 1.26.0
Steps to reproduce the bug:

1. Open youtube shorts
2. Sometimes first video already wont load, it shows a freeze frame of that video, the like dislike toolbar loads, no loading circle too

4. Or you need to scroll a bit more to make it happen
5. After scrolling a bit deeper some videos can still load, and then it will freeze again after scrolling a bit more
6. It seems like it is only happening to more recent YouTube versions, versions below 20.47.62 works ok and doesn't bug out that badly(but i want the new features so i dont really want to use old versions)
   Some things that i have already tried:
7. Changing my spoof client to all of the clients even logging in to android vr(for those people so ask to use android reel client, its the same so dont sweat it)
8. Making sure my dns is off (i use an adblocker dns)
9. Using the microg that was provided by morphe and updated it.
10. Turning off return youtube dislike(only for shorts as normal long form content loads nornally)
11. Clearing cache

I really hope that the morphe developers can fix this issue.

Edit: it turns out sometimes( rarely) the short would load but it takes like 3 minutes to load and my wifi speed is quite fast (i did comparison with unpatched yt it loads the videos smoothly)
Edit²: It turns out the short that loads after 3 mins dont have a selection for quality change and it is at a low quality too, could it be the video was fetched from some source eventually, that doesn't have other quality?

Yes it was better most of the time. There was no frozen shorts video. For those people who see this comment and face the same issue this is how you do it.

But im sorry if i sound like a spoil brat, but what my intentions are just wanting to morphe patch to improve...
Even if it works on older versions, eventually morphe will discontinue those versions to allow newer updates/patches to come in. This will cause the old issues to be forgotten and it will compound... So maybe instead of continuing with adding new features the developers should polish the current issues first before moving on(im just worried this will be a common occurrence as previous projects not this one it became very buggy because they kept on adding features). I dont mind using older versions, but this cannot last long and must be fixed somehow 😅

Im sorry if i cant provide enough info to debug this issue like i dont even know how android reel client spoofing works but i hope that someone else can look into this...

Did you try using Android VR sign-in? And don't confuse that with meaning you are signed in. VR sign-in has its own step in spoof video streams.

Uhh im pretty sure the main reason of morphe is for people to have an option not to pay? I know thats an option but i would not want to go down that path ykwim...

Morphe doesn't give Premium. I suggested that because it is a fix if you're really bothered..

Try turning off all client feature flags.

1. Enable Debugging (do not turn on stack trace or protocol logging) in: Miscellaneous > Debug
2. Force close the app
3. Open Miscellaneous > Debugging > Feature flag manager
4. Press lower left >> button
5. Press save, restart app
6. Check if issue occurs

Turning off feature flags is only for troubleshooting and discovering individual flags that break or change the app.

Uhh how can i say this it "semi worked". Thats if i use android vr, it was better and more consistent, but still have freezing shorts. After logging in to vr also same. I suspect its the host used for the videos

Edit: i take it back it works VERY SMOOTHLY NOW. But my like and dislikes panel is gone and all the layout is broken. I know its debug thats why the stuff is broken now we need to narrow the issue down ig

Please find what individual flag is causing the issue.

Restore all the flags, and start disabling them in batches until the problem is fixed again. Add/remove flags until you find the single flag causing the issue.

You dont want to know how much time i have spent on this debugging and it feels good like a sense of achievement ykwim someone needs to give me an award or smt for figuring this out

Well i mean i found the code its 45638126 (it's diffrent from the number you quoted above i couldn't even find that in my feature flags) which causing the issue. How i debug it was i took 50 flags per time and copied it into notes, keep on doing it until one batch have error. Then i narrow it down by only focusing that one batch that have error, and then i found it. Wow what a good experience on debugging lmao. Please check what that feature correlate to

Oh one more thing returnyoutubedislikes severely makes the scrolling of yt shorts very laggy i kinda know why as it needs to fetch from their servers... I think it can be made faster somehow too.
