v0.9.13.0 - The redesign is here!
DO NOT UPDATE TO THIS VERSION FROM WITHIN THE MANAGER ITSELF!!! DOWNLOAD THE UPDATE DIRECTLY FROM GITHUB AND EXTRACT THE FILES TO A SEPARATE FOLDER!!!
If you have an existing BananaModManager install, either do a clean install, or press the "Update Mod Loader" button in the settings menu after the setup proccess.
This is a huge new release with a ton of changes underneath, and a new user interface!!! This might mean that there could be new issues introduced with this version, so update at your own risk! Version 1.0.0 of the mod manager will be released once we make sure that there are no major issues remaining.
New User Interface
- Completely remade the user interface from ground up to be more user-friendly (and fancy!). If you're a fan of how Windows 11 looks you will like this one.
- Improved the support for high DPI screens.
- Moved the mod descriptions to the right side alongside mod specific settings.
- Moved the tabs for switching pages to the left side. You can revert this back with the legacy layout setting if you prefer the classic mod manager layout with tabs at the top.
- Split launcher specific settings and the game config in two different pages.
- Added a proper dark mode setting, which is enabled by default depending on your system settings.
- And many more...
New Installation Process
- Streamlined the installation process. Now you have to extract the manager's files to a separate folder, and let it install the mod loader for you.
- Added multiple game profiles. Now you can switch between different games directly within the mod manager when you use BMM on more than one game.
Game Compatibility
- Restored compatibility with Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD, so mods for it should work once again.
- Added support for a new game, Paperball! There are no mods for it out there yet though.
Other
- Improved overall stability, fixed many random errors.
- Updated the speedrun legal mods list.
- Added support for markdown in game descriptions, which includes links and even code blocks. No need for separate readme files anymore.
- Added a button to open the mods folder of the currently active game, from directly within the mod manager.
- Improved the performance for Discord Rich Presence in Banana Mania.
- Removed support for Windows 7 and Windows 8.x. Now you need to have at least Windows 10 to use BMM.
- Significantly improved code quality under the hood.
- Removed many unused dependencies.
- Relicensed the project under MIT license
