This release introduced and updated the forms for adding data to all the core components of the database.

This should make the site more usable and ensure other features and components such as RipGuessr have can be easily maintained by anyone.

RipDB Updates

Fixed

  • The Alternate Rip URL can now be set or updated when creating or editing a rip.
  • Deployment of a fresh database now includes triggers.
  • Sample data (when deploying the database for testing) uses the new stored procedures and contains the correct data.

  • Added modal forms
    • These allow the creation of other records in the database whilst in another form. Submitting the modal form adds its new record to the main form the modal was created from.
    • Modal forms are modular and can be appended to any select or SearchElement by adding the following attributes to the elements: modal, modal-tgt-id, modal-value-key.

Changes

  • Moved all search pages (rips, jokes, tags and the new pages) into a dropdown option in the navbar.
  • Notifications that display now fade out after 5 seconds instead of 3 seconds.
  • Improved the layout of all forms. Inputs should no longer be all over the place (especially on the new/edit rip pages).
  • The version the site is running on is now displayed in the footer.

Technical Changes

  • The site's view directory is now organised into sub directories based on their related MVC components.
  • Refactors to form submission. The code needed to write form validation and submission in the controller is more concise.

RipGuessr Updates

There were no changes made to the RipGuessr game in this release.
