Release list
Kinetica 0.3.2 beta
Kinetica 0.3.2
Remove the inline lint suppression rejected by the community review.
The Obsidian player uses createEl and createSvg. The standalone browser adapter uses native DOM methods because ordinary HTML pages do not provide Obsidian helpers. Local Obsidian-specific lint rules apply to the plugin sources, while shared TypeScript checks cover both adapters.
This changes review configuration only. The single Plotly payload, offline viewer and HTML export from 0.3.1 remain unchanged.
Kinetica 0.3.1 beta
Kinetica 0.3.1
Fixes the community review findings from 0.3.0.
- Share one full Plotly payload between the plugin and HTML exporter. The plugin is now below the 5 MB Obsidian Sync Standard limit.
- Use Obsidian DOM helpers in the plugin and native DOM methods in the standalone viewer.
- Normalize import failures as Error objects and remove redundant type assertions.
- Hide embedded comparison controls without CSS importance overrides.
- Check review rules locally and update development dependencies to resolve audit findings.
The numbered release contains main.js, manifest.json and styles.css. Download the standalone viewer from the matching HTML prerelease. Full Plotly and offline HTML export remain available.
Desktop verification covers macOS. Other operating systems and mobile devices have not been tested.
Kinetica 0.3.0 beta
Kinetica 0.3.0
- Highlight active code lines and show variable values per scene step
- Add prediction questions with answer explanations and playback gates
- Explore queues, buffers and worker pools with linked diagrams, metrics and charts
- Compare worker counts or synchronize two scenes
- Import Python Plotly figure JSON with the full local Plotly runtime
- Export a visualization as one standalone HTML file from the player or editor
- Keep English and Russian controls, dark and light themes, and version 1 documents
Plotly runs in an isolated frame with network access blocked. Geographic maps and remote resources are not supported. Python scripts are not executed. The full runtime increases the viewer to about 5 MB and the plugin to about 10 MB.
Kinetica 0.2.1 beta
Kinetica 0.2.1 beta
Use Obsidian's API version check before refreshing declarative settings. Older hosts keep the legacy settings interface. The minimum supported Obsidian version stays at 1.8.7.
Includes the HTML viewer from 0.2.0, with English and Russian controls, translated validation errors and a bilingual example page. Download kinetica.js and kinetica-example.html into the same folder to try it.
Obsidian installs main.js, manifest.json and styles.css. The two browser files are separate downloads. All five files have GitHub artifact attestations.
Kinetica 0.2.0 beta
Kinetica 0.2.0 beta
Embed scenes and interactive graphs in ordinary HTML pages with <kinetica-player>.
Download kinetica.js and kinetica-example.html into one folder. Open the HTML file to try two players, then copy a JSON document from an Obsidian motion block into your page. No Obsidian installation, framework or server is needed for viewing.
The web viewer includes dark, light and system themes, English and Russian controls, isolated styles and cleanup when removed from a page. The document format is unchanged.
For Obsidian, install only main.js, manifest.json and styles.css. The two web files are separate downloads and are ignored by the Obsidian installer. All five release files are built and attested in GitHub Actions.
This is still an early beta. Mobile devices and other desktop operating systems need testing.
Kinetica 0.1.1 beta
Kinetica 0.1.1 beta
Language settings now appear in Obsidian settings search on version 1.13 and later. Older supported versions keep the existing settings screen.
The formula function table uses explicit types. Document replacement no longer uses an unnecessary type assertion. The document format and the standalone renderer are unchanged.
Release files are built, tested and attested in GitHub Actions. The release contains only main.js, manifest.json and styles.css.
The plugin remains an early beta. Desktop use is tested on macOS. Mobile devices and other desktop operating systems still need testing.
Kinetica 0.1.0 beta
Kinetica 0.1.0 beta
Create interactive explanations directly in Obsidian notes.
- Build scenes with blocks, arrows, code excerpts and animated steps
- Plot mathematical functions and explore parameters with sliders
- Start from four templates or import a document as JSON
- Edit visually with undo and redo
- Keep the full visualization inside a portable
motionblock - Use the interface in English or Russian
The plugin works offline and does not execute JavaScript from notes.
Install
Download main.js, manifest.json and styles.css into <vault>/.obsidian/plugins/kinetica/. Reload Obsidian and enable Kinetica in Community plugins. Run Kinetica: Create visualization from the command palette.
Limits
This is an early beta tested on macOS with Obsidian 1.14.4. Mobile devices and other desktop operating systems still need testing. The scene editor supports rectangular blocks and straight arrows. Plots use a fixed sample count and are intended for explanations, not numerical analysis.
If you used the local Motion Notes prototype, disable it before enabling Kinetica. Existing motion blocks are compatible.
Kinetica HTML 0.3.2

Download both files into the same folder and open kinetica-example.html in a browser. The full Plotly runtime and styles are included locally.
These files are for HTML pages. Install the Obsidian plugin from the matching numbered release. The HTML release is marked as a prerelease so it does not replace the plugin as the latest release.
