AudioRouter v0.0.14
Which file do I download?
Download AudioRouter_0.0.14_x64-setup.exe and run it. That is all you need: it installs the app (window, tray and audio backend), the command-line tool, the plugin worker and the Stream Deck plugin for your Windows account, without administrator rights. Windows may warn that the installer is unsigned; choose More info, then Run anyway.
- Stream Deck: after installing, open AudioRouter, go to API, start the API and choose Install Stream Deck plugin.
com.mrdesjardins.audiorouter.streamDeckPluginis the same plugin, for a Stream Deck on another PC that controls AudioRouter over your network. - Everything else (
SHA256SUMS.txt,release-manifest.json,sbom.*,THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt) is for verifying the download and for license review. You do not need it to use AudioRouter.
What's new in 0.0.14
- One download. The installer now also contains the Stream Deck plugin. On the API tab, start the API and choose Install Stream Deck plugin; Stream Deck asks you to confirm. The separate
.streamDeckPluginasset is still here for a Stream Deck on another PC. - Fewer files on this page. Only the installer, the Stream Deck plugin, checksums, the provenance manifest, SBOMs and license notices. The loose
audiorouter-shell.exe,audiorouter-cli.exe,audiorouter-plugin-worker.exeandaudiorouter-ui.zipwere already inside the installer; the developer script and examples remain in the repository. - License: 0.0.14 is the first release under GPL-3.0-only (commercial licensing available on request). Releases up to 0.0.13 remain under MIT.
Windows 11 x64; app and installer unsigned (Windows may ask you to confirm with More info → Run anyway). No data migration or driver installation. Close AudioRouter before upgrading; keep 0.0.13 and your configuration/recording backups for rollback. Full clean-machine, signing, accessibility and hardware qualification gates remain open.
AudioRouter v0.0.13
0.0.13 — 2026-10-05 (unsigned experimental preview)
- Fixed: the window could not load after the PC woke from sleep. If
AudioRouter's background service failed while audio was running (seen
after a long sleep with a route playing), the tray stayed open but the
window only showed "Unable to load your saved session: Backend refresh
failed" until AudioRouter was quit and reopened. The service now restarts
by itself and the window loads again; press Play to resume audio. Repeated
failures still enter safe mode with routes stopped. - When this happens,
shell.jsonlin the logs folder records where the
failure occurred (source location only, no audio or session content), so
the underlying cause can be fixed.
Windows 11 x64; app and installer unsigned. No data migration or driver
installation. Close AudioRouter before upgrading; retain 0.0.12 and compatible
configuration/recording backups for rollback. The original failure's cause
is not yet identified, and a sleep/resume with a route playing has not been
re-qualified. Full M08 install/hardware/accessibility/signing gates remain
open.
AudioRouter v0.0.12
0.0.12 — 2026-10-04 (unsigned experimental preview)
- Stream Deck plugin: Toggle, Level meter, Privacy mute, Play/Stop,
Session, Value step and Record keys, with custom titles, images and key
looks. Install the.streamDeckPluginrelease asset in Stream Deck 7.1
or newer, then enter AudioRouter's local API address and token in an
action's settings. Keys follow the selected session or a pinned session. - Switching sessions from a Session key moves playback to the new session.
A Record key starts/stops a Recorder while its session is playing. - Advanced → When AudioRouter starts → Start the local API automatically
keeps keys connected after restart. The API remembers its last port and
network address; network access resumes only if the PC still has that address. - Setup → Animated connections: On, When AudioRouter is in focus, or Off.
Opening the same build again shows its running window. The Recording tab
now includes the recording library, and network tools show the PC's real address.
Windows 11 x64; app and installer unsigned. No data migration or driver
installation. Close AudioRouter before upgrading; retain 0.0.11 and compatible
configuration/recording backups for rollback. Stream Deck device latency,
CPU and the new Record key still need attended qualification. Full M08
install/hardware/accessibility/signing gates remain open.
AudioRouter v0.0.11
- Start at sign-in works. In the app, Advanced → When AudioRouter starts
showed "Native registration: unavailable" and never registered with
Windows (this was broken in every earlier version). Set Desired policy to
Enabled, then Plan and Apply: AudioRouter then starts in the tray at
sign-in and, with "Play the selected session automatically", plays it. - API on your local network (API tab → Who can connect): besides "This PC
only" (the default), choose one of this PC's private network addresses so a
device on your home network, such as a Raspberry Pi control panel, can call
the same API with the same token. Only private and link-local addresses and
peers are accepted; the choice is not remembered across launches. Windows
Firewall may ask to allow AudioRouter the first time.
Unsigned experimental prerelease; Windows may warn. No data migration or
device-format change. Not yet tried: a request from a second device and an
actual sign-in start. Keep 0.0.10 and a configuration backup for rollback.
Full M08 install/hardware/accessibility/signing qualification remains open.

AudioRouter v0.0.10
- Much less memory while audio plays. Meter updates no longer redraw the
route canvas, and the window's JavaScript memory is capped at 256 MB. On a
measured session the window settled at 340–450 MB instead of climbing to
about 770 MB. - Closing the window to the tray now frees it entirely: only the small
AudioRouter process stays (about 30 MB) and audio keeps playing. Open it
again from the tray. If the route has unsaved changes, the window is only
hidden, so nothing is lost. - Tray menu: Play and Stop audio play or stop the selected session
without opening the window. - Advanced → When AudioRouter starts: start AudioRouter when you sign in to
Windows, now in the tray without opening a window, and Play the selected
session automatically when it starts. AudioRouter now remembers the
selected session across restarts. - Network Send/Receive troubleshooting: a new
network.jsonllog records each
computer's addresses, packets sent and received, socket errors and a
plain-language hint (for example "nothing arrived: check the address and
that Windows Firewall allows AudioRouter"). For a problem between two
computers, send the logs folder from both (Logs tab → Open folder).
Unsigned experimental prerelease; Windows may warn. No data migration or
device-format change. If you used Start at sign-in before, apply it again
once (Advanced → When AudioRouter starts) to start in the tray. Tray Play,
autoplay and sign-in start were tested on a scratch database and by unit
tests; autoplay needs device access to have been allowed once in the window.
Keep 0.0.9 and a configuration backup for rollback. Full M08
install/hardware/accessibility/signing qualification remains open.
Download AudioRouter_0.0.10_x64-setup.exe below and run it. Full notes: release-notes.md.
AudioRouter v0.0.9
- Input Device Channels: send a stereo input as mono to both ears. Use
"left channel only (input 1)" or "right channel only (input 2)" for a
single microphone on a stereo audio interface, which was otherwise heard in
one ear; "mix both channels" averages them. It applies while playing and is
saved with the node; the default stays stereo. - Much lower memory use while audio plays: the window no longer re-renders
the whole app 20 times a second for meter updates. On a measured session
the WebView process settled at 440–470 MB instead of swinging between 600
and 960 MB, and creates about a third less garbage.
Unsigned experimental prerelease; Windows may warn. No data migration or
device-format change; sessions without the new setting behave as before.
Keep 0.0.8 and a configuration backup for rollback. Mono input passes
sample-level tests but has not been tried on a stereo interface by ear.
Real-match Duck, native Quit, combined continuity and full M08
install/hardware/accessibility/signing qualification remain open.

AudioRouter v0.0.8
- The window title and header show the version. Once a day the app checks
GitHub's public release list and, when a newer version exists, shows
" available" next to it; click it to open the release page. Turn it
off in Setup → New versions. Nothing about you or your audio is sent. - Devices at 44.1, 88.2, 96 or 192 kHz work in multi-path sessions (inputs,
outputs, endpoint loopback and Surround to headphones): Windows resamples
them to AudioRouter's 48 kHz. Previously such a device was refused, for
example a 96 kHz 7.1 SteelSeries Sonar channel or a DAC set to 44.1 kHz. - The "device in use" message also names a VB-Cable's "In 16ch" twin when an
application playing to it is what blocks the cable. - Surround to speakers: a 5.1/7.1 input can be rendered for two speakers in
front of you, with crosstalk cancellation so each ear mostly hears its own
channel (sit centred). New Room slider for both surround modes adds a
small room; higher sounds further away. Change either, then Stop and Play. - API tab: Build a request generates the exact REST request (JSON, curl or
PowerShell) for a tool setting, including Mixer input volumes by source name
and a Duck's trigger, and can send it once to try it. - Test and tooling: the intermittent autosave test was a test defect (it
clicked a node's inline slider) and is fixed.
Unsigned experimental prerelease; Windows may warn. No data migration or
device-format change; keep 0.0.7 and a configuration backup for rollback.
The new-version check reads api.github.com once a day (Setup → New versions
turns it off). Speaker mode, Room and 44.1/96 kHz conversion pass objective
and live-device tests but have not been judged by ear yet. Real-match Duck,
native Quit, combined continuity and full M08 install/hardware/accessibility/
signing qualification remain open.

AudioRouter v0.0.7
- "Device in use" now names the exact device another application holds
(for example "CABLE Input … is in use by another application") and says
how to stop apps from locking it (Windows Sound → Properties → Advanced →
untick exclusive control). Previously the message named only the node type. - The full browser test suite passes again. Seven tests that failed since
0.0.5 targeted the wrong element (several circles per EQ point, the Session
tab's Undo beside the toolbar Undo, the Bypass badge beside its checkbox)
or described the pre-0f32e9a7 live-flag behaviour; the live-flag test now
also proves an unsaved added tool is not saved with a live Bypass. - Browser tests no longer overwrite committed evidence screenshots.
- The draft-release script no longer stops under Windows PowerShell 5.1 when
the release does not exist yet.
Unsigned experimental prerelease; Windows may warn. No data migration or
device-format change. One autosave timing test failed once and passed 20/20
on rerun; under investigation. Real-match Duck, native Quit, combined continuity,
spatial listening and full M08 install/hardware/accessibility/signing
qualification remain open.

AudioRouter v0.0.6
- Fix "No audio started. Choose the device for …" after choosing the device:
a device node without a saved device showed a device remembered from
elsewhere, so choosing it did nothing. The picker now starts empty and
says the node has no device yet. (Workaround on older versions: pick another
device, then the correct one, Save, Play.) - Fix dragging tools onto the canvas in the desktop app: the drop preview
shows and dropping adds the tool. - Compressor, Gate and Duck threshold suggestions no longer make the panel
jump: the suggestion keeps a fixed place and its last measurement. - The compressor suggestion stays close to your voice peaks instead of
dropping toward room noise at gentle ratios, and suggests turning the
microphone up when your voice is quiet. - The Gate suggestion keeps its closing point clear of room noise (it accounts
for Hysteresis) and says where the gate closes.
Unsigned experimental prerelease; Windows may warn. No data migration or
device-format change; keep 0.0.5 and a configuration backup for rollback.
Seven browser-harness tests (Undo/EQ history, enable/bypass label, two live
draft checks) fail identically on 0.0.5 and are test defects under review,
not new regressions. Real-match Duck, native Quit, combined continuity,
spatial listening and full M08 install/hardware/accessibility/signing
qualification remain open.

Tonight's changes
- Built-in Siege-round Duck: choose menu, preparation and between-round phases. Action or unavailable state restores full volume. Stats.cc's optional feed setup is still required, but this mode needs no Node service or REST token.
- Fix bypassing Duck between connected Mixers; regression suite covers 1,800 tool/graph/flag combinations and live replacement.
- Advanced EQ live input spectrum behind its response curve.
- Duck amount slider, shared duck icon and canvas ducking indication with reduced-motion support.
- Confirmed desktop Quit action finalizes through the backend and exits.
- Includes the existing 0.0.4 routing, recorder, API-token and spatial-preview work.
Checks and limits
Locked Rust workspace passes, including the combination suite. UI 453 tests, shell 44 tests (1 attended fixture ignored), contracts, 11 external example tests, documentation and 40 production Edge cases pass. One initial UI run timed out under parallel suite load; all tests pass with reduced concurrency. Artifact provenance/hashes and public example ZIP checked. Exact packaged fresh-install check passes: new database, default pipe, no developer device grant, consent refusal and subsequent authorization verified. No real audio device was opened.
Real-match Duck behavior, native Quit/process exit, final combined native continuity, live topology restart and spatial listening remain pending. Full M08 installation, hardware endurance, accessibility and signing are open. This is an unsigned experimental prerelease, not full M08 qualification. Independent device clocks and queue latency remain known limits. Stats.cc's feed is an undocumented interface; 1.8.1 binds all interfaces without authentication, so keep inbound access blocked. AudioRouter never logs snapshots or changes Stats.cc application code.
Upgrade and rollback
Quit the old external integration and AudioRouter normally before installing. Keep v0.0.4 plus compatible configuration/recording backups for rollback. Sessions and recordings are retained; API credentials stay local to the Windows user. No audio driver or Windows default device change.
