NeuralFlow Preview 0.6.0-preview.5 — Compatibility handling
NeuralFlow Preview 0.6.0-preview.5
Failed neural compatibility checks no longer block setup of the rest of the app.
Setup clearly reports non-neural mode, keeps effects OFF, and leaves clarity and
color controls available. Neural strength is disabled until evaluation passes;
presets and floating controls preserve that restriction. Video neural strength
requires a successful 512-size test.
Completed failed tests are labeled Unavailable rather than Not tested. The first
size failure is displayed in System and all size errors remain in saved diagnostics.
Repeated setup reuses a completed check instead of retrying every failing size.
Use Check my hardware to retry explicitly; driver changes invalidate cached tests.
Validation: simulated rejected, cached-rejected, missing-NVIDIA and successful
setup paths. Physical GTX 1650 offline setup and neural size tests.
GTX 1050 neural evaluation failure has been reported by a tester. Its cause is
not confirmed without diagnostics; this release does not claim to fix Pascal
neural compatibility. AMD/Intel neural processing is unavailable. Non-neural
capture still depends on Windows and driver support and is not verified on every GPU.
NeuralFlow Preview 0.6.0-preview.4 — Windows icons
NeuralFlow Preview 0.6.0-preview.4
Adds the NeuralFlow flowing-frame icon to the app and installer executables,
application windows, desktop and Start menu shortcuts, and Windows' installed-app
listing. Icon artwork includes nine sizes from 16 to 256 pixels.
Includes the complete offline components from preview.3. Install this update to
refresh shortcuts and the installed-app icon. Personal settings are preserved.
Validated: app startup and Live/Video/System UI checks; Windows icon extraction
from app and installer executables; packaged file hashes and installer payload.
The rendering pipeline is unchanged. This remains an unsigned experimental
Windows 11 x64 NVIDIA-first preview, not native game-integrated DLSS.
NeuralFlow Preview 0.6.0-preview.3 — Complete setup included
NeuralFlow Preview 0.6.0-preview.3
The complete Windows installer includes the verified neural runtime, caller shim,
Python runtime, capture helper and video tools. Open System → Complete setup to
verify components and benchmark your GPU; no component downloads are needed.
This fixes the reported “Windows could not extract the verified neural component”
setup failure by bypassing archive extraction in the complete package. The
download-based setup path now uses a pinned standalone extractor and reports
its error details instead of depending on the Windows tar version.
Validated on GTX 1650: fresh setup with Python network requests blocked (23.14 s),
all nine processing sizes, repeated setup (0.33 s), package file hashes, embedded
installer payload and a six-frame video export with full decoding, audio retained
and zero measured timestamp error. Other PCs still need testing.
Installers remain unsigned. Windows 11 x64 and an installed compatible NVIDIA
driver are required. NeuralFlow does not provide native game-integrated DLSS.
Component hash verification is not a redistribution-license clearance; upstream
terms and the included third-party notices still apply.
NeuralFlow Preview — One-button setup
NeuralFlow Preview adds one-button component setup.
Download and start
- Download NeuralFlowPreviewSetup.exe below, or extract the entire portable ZIP.
- Open NeuralFlow, then System → Complete setup.
- Wait for the required downloads and GPU checks, then select a window or display in Live.
You do not need to locate or copy DLLs manually. First setup needs internet,
approximately 300 MB of downloads and 1 GB of free disk space. It retrieves
pinned community neural components and video tools, verifies their hashes and
automatically tests processing sizes. Repeat setup reuses valid installed files.
Screen/video processing afterward stays local. Effects start OFF.
F8 toggles effects. F9 restores the original.
Tested
An empty app-data folder completed download, extraction, video-tool setup and
all nine GTX 1650 neural-size checks in 64.31 seconds on the development laptop.
Repeat setup took 0.31 seconds without downloading. The actual app setup button,
completion message and effects-OFF state also passed. These timings depend on
internet speed and hardware; this was not a clean Windows installation.
Experimental preview
Windows 11 x64 with an NVIDIA GPU and an installed compatible driver is required
for neural processing. Only the GTX 1650 has been physically tested by this project;
other NVIDIA GPUs must pass their own checks. AMD neural support is unavailable.
This uses a community-modified experimental runtime; it is not official or native
game-integrated DLSS. The pinned upstream releases must remain available for first
setup. NeuralFlow does not replace drivers or run the downloaded Swapper installer.
The installer is unsigned. License notices and SHA-256 files are provided.
No personal settings, credentials, captured footage, game files or test logs are
included in these release assets.
