How does the fabrication system work

Alright, so here's the thing: I understand how to use pretty much everything else in the mod because most of it is fairly straightforward, but there's one thing I still can't wrap my head around: the modern IC system.

I'm playing the 1.21.1 NeoForge version of the mod, and the biggest problem is that there seems to be almost no documentation for the modern version.

• The GTNH resources are for the old 1.7 versions.
• The old wiki is extremely outdated.
• Most YouTube tutorials I can find are 10–11 years old.
• The few modern tutorials I've found are in Spanish and don't really cover the IC system anyway.

I genuinely want to understand how this system works, but I can't seem to find any information about it anywhere, and I'm completely stuck trying to figure it out myself.

Could someone please explain how the modern IC system works, or point me toward some up-to-date documentation/tutorials?

Also, is there an existing Discord server or other community where people actively play the modern version of this mod? I'd really like somewhere I can ask questions and learn from other players.
