Windows installer bundle for 64-bit Windows. KochChart Plus is pay shareware. You are welcome to download and try it for free. All features are enabled. If you decide to keep it, a one-time $20 registration fee is requested. You can register the software at kochchart.com.

What is the 'Plus'?

• KochChart Plus has a 'Display View' that summarizes and displays graphically the contents of a METAR for your selected station, as well as the Koch Chart for the current conditions, and a plot of Carburetor Ice risk, also based on the current conditions. If available, a radar image is also included.

Instructions

• download the KochChartPlus-v1.0.2-Setup.exe file to your windows computer and run it
• double-click on the desktop shortcut to run the program
• a familiarization video is available on YouTube
• there is also a Colorado Pilot's Association webinar on YouTube featuring the software, and the software discussion starts at about the 32-minute mark
• there is a KochChart webpage with additional information

Changes

• Expanded NEXRAD radar support beyond CONUS to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico/Virgin Islands, and Guam/Marianas.
• Improved radar georeferencing using IEM regional composite data.
• Added geographic boundary and road overlays above radar returns.
• Added a clear NO RADAR DATA AVAILABLE indication when the selected area is outside available radar coverage.
• Improved radar timestamp and age reporting.
• Various reliability and display improvements.

Known Bugs

• Radar images only work for US CONUS stations. O-CONUS stations (e.g., PANC, PHNL) will display a map with the station location indicated, but will NOT show radar returns.
