The first release of Notchd: a flight recorder and undo button for every AI coding agent on your Mac.
What it does
- Records every file Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, OpenCode and Cursor touch and every command they run, through the hooks and plugins each agent already supports.
- Checkpoints the paths a tool call declares before it runs and diffs them after, into an append-only ledger and a content-addressed store.
- A timeline window shows one lane per session. Drag a span, see the files and a line diff, and revert it. A revert says complete only when every path was restored bit for bit.
- Guard mode blocks or asks before an agent runs a command or writes a path that matches one of your rules.
- A notch on any screen edge shows what is running. When an agent finishes it hops, peeks out with that agent's mark, taps the trackpad, and posts a silent notification.
- Nothing leaves the machine. There is no network code in any target.
