MustrHQ Stock now shares one design with MustrHQ Recipes, with a new Today home page. This release includes the 1.6.0 redesign.

Updating

Admin → Updates & backups → upload Source code (zip) from Assets below. Your files and database are backed up first.

New install? Upload the zip, open install.php and follow the wizard.

Stock now uses the same design as MustrHQ Recipes, so the products look like one family.

Changed

• Navy header with the MustrHQ logo tile and your shop's name, and the sections as tabs — as in
  Recipes. The admin moves to the Recipes navy sidebar, grouped into Catalogue, Shops and people,
  and System.
• Archivo replaces Space Grotesk and IBM Plex, with its condensed cut for codes and big figures.
• Navy-outlined buttons, filled status pills and stat cards, all matching Recipes.
• Amber marks the one thing to do next: the next job's button on Today.
• Sign-in uses the split navy layout from Recipes.
• Sheet dates sit on a navy band; the scanner has a navy header and amber frame.
• The app icon colour and theme colour are MustrHQ navy.

A redesign, so Stock looks like part of the MustrHQ family rather than a generic dashboard.

Changed

• MustrHQ's own logo, navy and type (Space Grotesk and IBM Plex), matching MustrHQ Rota. The app
  icon and home-screen shortcuts use the MustrHQ icon.
• The home page is now Today: the date and the figures that matter, the day's jobs in the
  order a shift does them with the next one highlighted, what has run out, and what is arriving.
  Out-of-stock items are listed once instead of in three places.
• Count and waste sheets read like a stock ledger: empty lines show a dash, typed quantities turn
  navy, "3 of 10 counted" updates as you type or scan, and totals sit on a double rule.
• A navigation bar for Today, Count, Waste, Orders, Goods in, Stock and Loss replaces the
  breadcrumb. The three waste sheets share one section with a switch between them.
• Status shows as a coloured dot and a word; money uses a true minus sign (−£18.97); dates read
  as words ("Thursday 1 October").
• Lines added to a count because they went below zero are marked with a red rule and show what
  the system holds, instead of purple text.

MustrHQ Stock 1.5.0

MustrHQ Stock is now a general tool for any kitchen, café or shop — everything specific to one company's internal system has been taken out.

Changed

• New, entirely fictional demo data — a small takeaway menu from three made-up suppliers. Demo codes start with DEMO-, emails are on example.com, and demo barcodes sit in the in-store range (200–299) so they never match a real product. Off by default in the installer.
• Admin → Dashboard → Remove demo data also clears the sample catalogue installed by 1.4.0 and earlier, matching on code and name so your own articles are never touched.
• Clearer names: Stales waste is now Product waste, Quality checkpoint is now Damaged stock, and reports measure against net sales. Old addresses, bookmarks and home-screen shortcuts redirect.
• Installer placeholders and every screenshot use neutral example data.

Added

• Source code link on the sign-in page and admin footer, as the AGPL-3.0 asks. Set APP_SOURCE_URL in config.php if you run a modified copy.
• Release zips carry the community files: code of conduct, contributing guide, security policy and editor settings.

MustrHQ Stock 1.4.0

First public release of MustrHQ Stock, now open source under the GNU AGPL-3.0.

Install

1. Download Source code (zip) under Assets below.
2. Upload and extract it on your hosting, then open install.php and follow the four-step wizard.
3. Delete install.php when you are done.

Already running an earlier copy? Go to Admin → Updates & backups and upload the same zip — your files and database are backed up first.

Requires PHP 7.4+ with PDO MySQL. HTTPS needed for the installable app and camera scanning.

What's in 1.4.0

• Barcode scanning on count, waste, goods-in, QCP, ordering and lookup — phone camera, handheld scanners, or typed. First-time barcodes are taught once by a manager; case barcodes count as a pack.
• Admin → Barcodes, with a setup mode for linking a whole stockroom.
• Installable app (PWA) with home-screen shortcuts and an offline screen.
• Count and waste numbers are kept on the device until the server confirms the save.
• Admin → Updates & backups: install a release zip, automatic file and database backups, one-click rollback.
• The database upgrades itself when the files are newer, including after an FTP copy.
• Works on hosts without the mbstring extension.
