Persistent Memory core 0.3.0a1 (alpha)
Persistent Memory core 0.3.0a1 — alpha
This alpha adds optional structured rendering and admission to the reusable memory core. The policy registry remains at 0.1.0; this release contains only the two core distributions and their checksums.
Changes
- Render host-reviewed facts through finite French templates, preserving supplied values, units, polarity, citations and source spans. Output bounds use the shared canonical word counter.
- Admit a host-reviewed dossier as a technical card or a distinct unknown, conflict, unsupported-intent, withdrawn or unavailable-authority notice. Eligible cards check authority before preparation and again before handoff, and compare the final buffer before calling the consumer.
- Sanitize output and receipts after loss of access. A consumer exception after a possible effect records an unknown delivery outcome rather than retrying it. An acknowledgment does not prove downstream consumption.
- Load the three opt-in modules through one shared graph with byte-pinned source resources. Default imports remain unchanged. A synthetic demonstration, English/French guides and installed-package regression tests accompany the modules.

Evidence and status
The qualified wheel and source distribution each passed 145 core tests and 36 unchanged registry tests: four installed suites, 362 method executions, no failures, errors or skips. The core total includes 12 independent test methods covering 45 variants per installation; these are regression checks, not a score for general task quality.
CI passed on Python 3.11–3.14 at release commit 8a6a1be4e7ac7076f4ba9dc7fcbb40a2030ce149.
Anonymous downloads of the published core wheel, source distribution and SHA256SUMS matched their SHA-256 digests. Fresh Linux environments installed the published wheel and a wheel rebuilt from the published source distribution outside the checkout. Each installation discovered all 145 core test IDs and executed the 23 added test methods, including 45 package-boundary variants, plus eight synthetic demonstration outcomes, with no failures, errors or skips. The 122 legacy core methods and the policy-registry suite were not rerun in this public reinstallation; their full qualification above is separate. Installed source resources retain their exact pins; binary identity of the rebuilt wheel is not claimed.
Limits
The host must supply the reviewed dossier and access decisions. These modules do not extract facts from free text, validate semantic truth, authenticate a production caller, or provide a durable handoff journal. Local callbacks are trusted and are not sandboxed. Authority checks and consumer effects are not an atomic transaction; interruptions can prevent a receipt even after an effect. No broader business-quality improvement or production certification is claimed.

Persistent Memory 0.2.0a1
Persistent Memory is an alpha toolkit for versioned agent memory and explicit policy evidence.
This release contains two independently installable distributions:
- hermes-memory-core 0.2.0a1: immutable source versions, exact dependency references, revocation, restore quarantine, CLI, local MCP, optional authenticated HTTP and experimental typed lexical retrieval.
- hermes-policy-registry 0.1.0: immutable policies and evidence, explicit proposal/evaluation/admission/rollback states, and a synthetic withdrawal demonstration. Admission does not execute a policy or grant runtime permissions.
The repository includes English and French documentation, synthetic examples, 158 distinct tests and an installed-distribution CI recipe. Local qualification covered Linux Python 3.12, both wheels, wheels rebuilt from their source distributions, and installation together. Test repetitions are not counted as additional unique tests.
The source selection has a fresh public Git history and documented file provenance. It contains no private memory corpus, embeddings, production database, credentials or operational traces.
Install the memory core from this release:
python -m pip install https://github.com/Musyg/persistent-memory/releases/download/v0.2.0a1/hermes_memory_core-0.2.0a1-py3-none-any.whl
hermes-memory-demo --directory ./new-memory-demoThe optional registry has its own wheel and source archive. SHA256.json lists artifact checksums.
Typed retrieval is experimental: it improved evidence selection in a bounded synthetic comparison but failed its registered relative latency gate. This release does not claim a general speed improvement, model unlearning, physical erasure or protection when authority and freshness witnesses are rolled back together. Read the recovery and service trust-boundary documentation before integration. No model, external database or provider account is required for the examples.
