CreateCutline 1.0

First public release of CreateCutline, an Adobe Illustrator plug-in that draws print-ready sticker cutlines.

One button adds a top-level Cutline layer, a single closed cut path, a CutContour spot swatch, and a 1 pt overprinting stroke. Your artwork is never modified, moved, or flattened.

Adobe Illustrator 2025 or 2026 on either platform. Unzip the whole download, run the installer, then quit Illustrator completely and reopen it — Illustrator only looks for new extensions when it starts.

What it does

• Automatic shape — builds a contour, then keeps it or swaps in a rounded rectangle where a contour would only wobble
• Automatic offset — 1% of the artwork's longest side, never below 5 pt or above 18 pt, with extra width where artwork breaks into separate pieces
• Automatic corner radius — matched to the artwork's own rounding plus the offset
• Negative offsets — for kiss-cut and thru-cut work
• Smoothing — one slider between an exact trace and a relaxed line the blade follows more cleanly
• Vector or raster — works from placed images, so a customer-supplied PNG does not have to be redrawn
