What changed

  • Added: A consistent first-run welcome guides new stations into Guided Add Radio, while Set Up Later leaves a persistent Set Up First Radio action in Ops Center. Existing single-radio upgrades continue through the separate Upgrade Existing Station flow.
  • Fixed: Windows startup no longer flashes internal command windows or transient unpainted FIO windows while the splash screen is active.
  • Fixed: Radio health indicators now use cached operational evidence consistently. A working radio remains green when optional software has a harmless advisory, unknown or stale evidence is neutral, and yellow is reserved for conditions that affect operation.
  • Changed: Launch Control starts one radio stack at a time, requires fresh read-only proof that the configured rig-control endpoint can reach that radio, skips the remaining applications for an offline radio, and then continues with the next radio.
  • Fixed: FLDigi and JS8Call advance as soon as their configured endpoints respond, process-only applications advance after a short stability check, slow VarAC/JS8Call startup no longer causes premature dependent skips, and an early nonzero exit is reported immediately.
  • Added: Official GitHub Release packaging for Windows x86-64, Linux amd64, macOS Intel, and macOS Apple Silicon, with checksums and build provenance. Until signing is configured, Windows and macOS download filenames explicitly include -unsigned and the release notes explain the operating-system trust prompts.

Package signing notice

  • The Windows installer is unsigned and includes -unsigned in its filename. Windows may display Unknown publisher or a Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prompt.
  • The macOS disk images are not Developer ID signed or notarized and include -unsigned in their filenames. macOS may require Open Anyway in Privacy & Security.
  • The installed application name remains FreqInOut. Confirm the checksum before bypassing an operating-system trust prompt.
