DSH Vibeify 0.15.2
Turn your AI work into a living magazine.
This is the first versioned public GitHub Release of DSH Vibeify: an open-source, local magazine experience for DeepSeek Harness. Vibe opens into visual material rather than an empty prompt box, keeps detailed control in Chat, and publishes only one reader-reviewed article at a time through the separate preview-and-share boundary.
Watch the privacy-safe 72-second walkthrough. It shows the real welcome edition, Chat direction, explicit Update, the private preview, and the separately optional public-share action.

Compatibility
| Component | Qualified version or boundary |
|---|---|
| DSH Vibeify | 0.15.2 |
| DeepSeek Harness | Tested with @deepseek-ai/dsh 0.1.1-rc.2. The friendly installer checks the official current DSH release when it runs. DSH remains a fast-moving developer preview. |
| Node.js | 22.19+ within Node 22, or Node 24+ |
| Provider modes | DeepSeek only, ChatGPT-authenticated Codex only, or combined Codex-lead plus bounded DeepSeek workers |
| First content | Bundled locally; no model call is required before the welcome edition appears |
| Public sharing | Private article preview first; publication requires a separate reader action |
What is in this release
- A newest-first Vibe magazine shared across completed Chat threads.
- A visual welcome edition that explains the product and invites the first “Make a Vibe about…” request.
- Complete editorial chunks that can enter Vibe while a longer requested series is still being made.
- Explicit Update and pull-to-update, a bounded foreground run, Stop update, and no self-starting visible refill loop.
- Credited photography, labelled AI-assisted graphics, relevant article destinations, questionnaires, and click-to-load media routes.
- Browser-local editorial settings and learning, a public content-only trend radar, and a hard configurable DeepSeek daily maximum never above US $2.
- One-article private preview and optional public share, with prompts, reasoning, session identity, settings, and local history excluded from the transfer contract.
- Friendly installers for macOS, Windows, and Linux plus a privacy-safe support report and FAQ.
Checks performed
- 160 Vibeify tests pass.
- The immutable plugin package closes over every required runtime file.
- macOS, Windows, and Linux installer archives pass integrity and contract checks.
- The installed package canary-boots before a confirmed DSH restart replaces a live process.
Roll back or remove Vibeify
This is the first public GitHub Release, so the documented rollback is to ordinary DSH rather than to an earlier public release.
-
Finish any active DSH work and close the running DSH process.
-
Remove the installed Vibeify mode:
dsh plugin --profile web remove --workspace-root dsh-vibeify dsh plugin --profile web remove --workspace-root dsh-vibeify-experience
-
Start DSH again with
dsh web.
Removing Vibeify does not delete DSH sessions, Codex authentication, DeepSeek credentials, or browser-stored Vibe preferences. See the full installation guide for profiles, updates, checks, and diagnosis.
Honest boundaries
Vibeify is macOS-first and DSH is still a developer preview. It is not fully offline: the magazine shell and first edition are local, while AI work and public sources may use the connected providers and network. ChatGPT and DeepSeek are separate provider arrangements with separate limits and charges. Codex verification applies only when a Codex-led mode is installed. Vibeify is an independent community project, not an official DeepSeek or OpenAI product.
From the field: why Vibe starts with content
The first engineering note in the Vibeify public-proof series explains the product decision behind 0.15.2: replace the empty-prompt opening with a locally available visual edition, stream complete verified cards, retain explicit Update and stop conditions, and publish only one reviewed article at a time.
