I just received an email telling me I need to reset my password, is this legit?

The email came from pds-nucleus-no-reply@mail.nasa.gov with a title like User Password expiration is approaching or User Password Expired. Are these emails legit?

Yes! As of December 1, 2025, we have instituted a 90-day password reset requirement. Please ensure the email is coming from an email like @mail.nasa.gov and the URL is something like https://pds-registry.auth.us-west-2.amazoncognito.com. If any of this does not look right, or you are still concerned about the legitimacy of the email, please contact the PDS Help Desk for assistance.
