For macOS users only --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DBScope macOs installers for both Intel and M-series processors are available. Please find the appropriate installer for your Mac below.
macOS may block the installer with a message like:
"DBScope_MacOS_Installer_[PROCESSOR_TYPE].app is damaged and can't be opened"
This happens as a result of macOS automatically adding a security flag to all downloaded files not notarized by Apple.
To run the installer, please follow the instructions below:
Download DBScope_MacOS_Installer.zip from this Release page
Unzip it (through double-clicking)
Open Terminal by right-click on the folder's name in the path bar (the bar at the top of the Finder window showing the folder's location) and select "Open in Terminal".
In the terminal, copy and paste the following line: " xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine DBScope_MacOS_Installer_[PROCESSOR_TYPE].app " (this eliminates the flag which sends the software to quarantine and doesn't allow the user to open. Again, this happens only because the software is not signed by an user with Apple Developer ID.)
Double-click DBScope_MacOS_Installer.app to run it normally
Note #1: this process only needs to be done once and afterwards DBScope is installed on your macOS device and can run normally
Note #2: on the code to insert in the terminal, please change [PROCESSOR_TYPE] to your Intel (if you have an Intel processor) or Apple Silicon (if you have an M-series processor)
