A polish release from first-run feedback — bug fixes, a faster import, and installer cleanup. If you're new here: Deskemy is a local, offline player for the video courses you already own — browsable library, resume, search, bookmarks, and study stats, all from one local database. libmpv is bundled, so playback works out of the box.

What's changed

Fixes

  • Import confirmation no longer closes on a stray click. Clicking outside the dialog — including clicking to focus the window — used to cancel the import and force a full re-scan. It now closes only via Cancel or ✕.
  • Player panel button reliably closes the sidebar instead of silently switching from Resources to Course content. (The P / R keys still jump to a specific tab.)

Improvements

  • Faster course import with far less disk activity — noticeably better on HDDs, where scanning a large course was sluggish.
  • Library sorting: added a Longest option and made every sort explicit (default is still most-recently-opened).
  • Sidebar order tidied: Library · Search · Career Tracks · Favorites · Bookmarks · History · Stats · Settings.
  • Installer: the license text now wraps cleanly, and setup shows the Deskemy logo (header + welcome page).

Downloads

File Use it if…
Deskemy_1.0.2_x64-setup.exe You want a normal install (Start-menu entry, clean uninstall). Recommended.
Deskemy_1.0.2_portable.zip You want zero install — extract and run Deskemy.exe. Everything stays in the folder.
Deskemy_1.0.2_x64_en-US.msi You prefer an MSI (e.g. managed deployment).

Notes

  • Windows 10/11. The WebView2 runtime is installed by setup if missing.
  • The build is unsigned, so SmartScreen may warn on first run — choose More info → Run anyway.
  • Verify your download against SHA256SUMS.txt.
