This release is built entirely from user feedback — thanks to everyone who sent it in. If you're on 1.1.0, Deskemy will offer this update automatically; this is the first release delivered through the in-app updater. Click Update when prompted.

New

Relocate a moved or renamed course.
Rename or move a course folder and Deskemy used to lose track of it. It now detects this on launch and flags the course, and the course page shows a Locate folder button — point it at the new location and everything reconnects: your progress, bookmarks, tags, and career-track placement all carry over. It repoints the stored paths directly, so there's no re-scan and nothing is re-probed.

Optional title cleaning.
By default, Deskemy tidies lecture and section titles on import (for example, 01. Intro.mp4 becomes Intro). If you'd rather keep the raw file names, there's a new Settings → Clean up lecture titles toggle. Turn it off to keep names exactly as they are on disk.

Auto-hide controls in fullscreen.
A new Settings → Auto-hide controls in fullscreen toggle, off by default. With it on, the control bar and cursor fade out after a few seconds without mouse movement and return the moment you move the mouse — like a typical video player.

Smoother bookmarking.
Adding a bookmark now pauses the video and opens a small panel, so the moment holds still while you type a label. The B shortcut no longer saves a blank bookmark before you get a chance to name it. Save it, or cancel with Esc, and playback resumes right where it left off.

Notes

  • The app is unsigned, so SmartScreen may warn on first run — choose More info, then Run anyway.
  • No accounts and no telemetry. Nothing leaves your machine.
  • You can verify downloads against SHA256SUMS.txt.
