Adaptation release for the October 2026 family-wide update

All 12 updated family apps verified against this plugin; the bridge layer needed zero changes (all 13 configured bin paths and control ports still resolve), and one breaking change in EffectCraft required adaptation.

Breaking change handled

• EffectCraft 0.13.0 removed effect.setParam - property reads and writes are now handled by the prop.* family (prop.get / prop.set / prop.toggleAnimation / prop.addKey / prop.setExpression). The motion-vfx skill and the scene-to-effect reference were updated accordingly. FilmCraft's effects.setParam family is unaffected.

Capability stats refreshed

Measured command-family stats updated for all 13 apps after the update: photocraft 918 (0.11.1), wordcraft 633 (0.9.0), gridcraft 341 (0.9.0), figcraft 569, vectorcraft 401 (0.14.0), designcraft 309 (0.10.0), lightcraft 227 (0.10.0), deckcraft 209 (0.9.0), pdfcraft 77 (0.10.1); filmcraft 701 (0.10.0), effectcraft 731 with all 307 effects (0.13.0) and soundcraft 480 (0.10.0) unchanged in size. All referenced command ids were checked for survival - this was the only removal.

Fixed

• All agent tools failed to register on DSH 44.0.0 (#1): the fallback output declaration was computed but never passed to ctx.tools.register(), and the 44.0.0 tool registry rejects tools without output { schema, render }. Both registration shapes now carry the output declaration, so every tool registers on strict registries too. The HTTP surface was never affected.
• artcraft_qc and artcraft_live gain human-readable output renderers (QC verdict lines with fix commands; control-channel liveness table).

Hardening

• The self-test now includes a registration-side assertion (every registered tool must carry output.render) and a strict-registry simulation replicating the 44.0.0 rejection logic (10/10 tools register).
• RELEASING.md documents the issue #1 post-mortem.

artcraft-ops, artcraft-shot-language, artcraft-edit-rhythm, artcraft-color-light, artcraft-sound-design, artcraft-motion-vfx, artcraft-delivery-qc, artcraft-style-bible, artcraft-film-study, artcraft-batch-pipeline, artcraft-multicam.

They ship inside the plugin and are registered through its own skill provider (a separate plugin row, so a missing skills service cannot affect the tools). Nine reference files come with them: command families, all 122 LightCraft develop controls, all 307 EffectCraft effects with ec.* ids, intent-to-effect lookup, Essential Sound keys, Lumetri and scopes, transitions, shot vocabulary, and platform specs. Delivery QC and live inspection

• artcraft_qc and GET/POST /artcraft/api/qc: probes an artefact with the right family CLI, checks it against platform specs (bilibili / youtube / douyin / reels / shorts / wechat / broadcast / podcast) and returns ok / warn / fail / manual checks with fix commands. When a control channel is live it also pulls FilmCraft scopes.read, Essential Sound inspect, caption length checks and EffectCraft app.capabilities.
• artcraft_live and GET /artcraft/api/live: control-channel liveness (which apps are running, latency, available command count).
• GET /artcraft/api/skills: bundled skill listing. GET /artcraft/api/apps now includes capability stats.

Recipes v2

• 8 expert recipes now name the skills to read first
• 14 task-to-skill-to-command chains: short-drama episode, script to storyboard, RAW batch, film study, audio post, composite shot, design system, document delivery, batch vertical reframe, cover and thumbnail pack, multilingual subtitles, cleanup and restore, social pack, long-form clips
• artcraft_recipes gains action=chains and action=chain

Plugins page

• The status card lists the bundled skill pack (count and names) alongside the 13 app lights
• A restart-pending state is shown persistently after a one-click update (carried over from 0.2.10)

Fixed

• Update UX: the plugins-page card now keeps a persistent "restart DeepSeek Harness to finish the update" note after a successful one-click update. Previously the card fell back to "update available" right after applying, which looked like the update had failed.
• GET /artcraft/api/update/check now reports the disk-vs-running version mismatch (pendingRestart / pendingVersion / diskVersion), so the pending-restart note survives card re-mounts, re-checks and page refreshes - it is a server-side fact, not transient client state
• While a restart is pending, the misleading "update available" message is suppressed and the apply button is disabled; after the real restart the card returns to its normal state automatically
