Smoother in crowded rooms
Most of the stutters in busy rooms came from Love Menu itself. A leftover check scanned everything in the room once a second, and a few features each searched the room separately. Now:
- the leftover check no longer runs
- the minimap, people list, friend notices and people filter share one quick search
- every search in the menu uses Unity's faster method
Freezes
- Auto-free RAM is gone. It had run shortly before the freezes we looked at, it paused the game for up to half a second, and in busy rooms it freed nothing. Free memory now is still in the Performance tab if you want to use it by hand.
- Better freeze reports. If the game freezes, Love Menu now writes down exactly which part of the game got stuck in
BepInEx\CrashDumps\hangs.log. It also notes whether the game was in the background (alt-tab). Make crash report includes it, so please send one after a freeze.
Bug fixes
- "Player is busy" after a pose, dance or other shared action: only the person who started the action could leave the group. Everyone else was stuck in it until F5, and every new action said they were busy. Now Exit works for everyone. This is on by default in the Bug fixes tab.
Removed
- Key Hunter teleports: Go to safe and the keys search button.
- The Fixed crashes list in the Crashes tab.
- Tools meant only for development are no longer shown in the menu.
Install / update
Download LoveMenu-1.8.0.exe below and run it. It replaces the older version automatically. If you don't have BepInEx yet, press Enter when it offers to install it.
The menu is active only when you start the game with this exe. Starting from Steam gives you the normal game.
