v2.2.0 - Auto-paste
What's New
Auto-paste — Transcribed text is now automatically pasted into the active app. No more manual ⌘V!
- Hold your hotkey to record, release to transcribe, text auto-pastes into whatever app you were using
- Toggle auto-paste on/off in Settings → General → After Transcription
- New Permissions tab in Settings shows status of all required permissions
Other improvements
- Fixed Settings window not opening reliably
- Shorter overlay duration when auto-pasting (no user action needed)
- Overlay now shows "Pasted!" instead of "Press ⌘V to paste"
New permissions required
Auto-paste requires two additional permissions beyond Microphone:
- Accessibility — for text injection
- Input Monitoring — for keyboard simulation
Setup after upgrading
- Open Speech.app
- Go to Settings → Permissions
- Click Grant for Accessibility and Input Monitoring
- Add Speech.app in System Settings when prompted
Troubleshooting
If auto-paste doesn't work after granting permissions, reset and re-grant:
tccutil reset Accessibility com.speech.app
tccutil reset ListenEvent com.speech.appThen go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and re-add Speech.app to both Accessibility and Input Monitoring.
You can always disable auto-paste in Settings and use manual ⌘V instead.
