What is new

• Video Converter: choose the codec. Besides the file type you can now pick the video codec (H.264, H.265, VP9, VP8, AV1, MPEG-4, ProRes, Motion JPEG, limited to what the chosen type supports), the sound (AAC, MP3, Opus, Vorbis, FLAC, AC-3, WAV or none), quality, speed, size (up to 4K, never enlarged), frame rate and an NVIDIA option. Keep original copies the picture or sound without re-encoding, so MKV to MP4 takes seconds with no quality loss. A file can now be converted to its own type with a different codec (for example MP4 H.264 to MP4 H.265). AV1 and ProRes are Pro; everything else is free.
• PDF header and footer: live preview and better placement. The settings now show a live preview of the real result on your own PDF. A new Distance from the page edge slider moves the header or footer closer to the edge, away from your content, and Make room shrinks each page a little so nothing is covered.
• New-version notice. The app now tells you when a newer version is out, with a Download button. It makes one small request to GitHub at start-up (no files or personal details are sent), stays quiet offline, and can be switched off in About & licenses.
• PDF Toolkit: Header and footer. Put text at the top or bottom of every page, in three places (left, middle, right). Use {n} for the page number, {total} for the number of pages and {date} for today, for example "Page {n} of {total}". Add your logo on the left, middle or right, choose the text size and colour, and skip the first page if it is a cover. Names with accents (Peña, Müller) print correctly, and rotated pages get an upright footer.

What is in it

• 22 tools in three groups: Images, Video & audio, Documents. 11 are free; 11 need a Pro key. See the README for the full list.
• Remove Background with a sharper, cleaner outline, a Refine brush, and an automatic switch to High detail on busy group photos where the standard engine finds nothing.
• Crop (free) and Smart Crop (Pro, beta) for uniform product pictures; Product Studio for clean listing photos; ID Photo Maker (Pro, beta).
• Extract Audio: save the sound of a video as MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC or OGG, or copy it without re-encoding.
• Review before saving: every result is a preview with Save and Retry, so your folder is not flooded while you try settings. Switch it off any time.
• Starts on the right settings for your PC: a strong PC begins on High detail and High accuracy, a weaker one on the lighter settings.
• Smarter converters: a file already in the chosen format (MP4 to MP4, JPG to JPG) is left alone instead of being re-encoded.
• Fast and light: saving, cancelling and switching tools never freezes the window, even after playing a video preview, and memory stays flat over long sessions.
• Batch mode everywhere: add a whole folder and process everything at once.

Free and Pro

Free: no account, Remove Background up to 10 a day, Speech to Text up to 2 minutes per clip. Pro: all tools, no limits, one key per PC. Pro is available on inquiry: email your Device ID (see the website).

Beta tools

ID Photo Maker and Smart Crop are marked BETA. They work, but their results are not always ideal yet. Please check each result.

Known limitations

See the README. Glass, smoke and very fine hair can still need the Refine brush; Speech to Text runs on the CPU; Windows only for now.
