Full SDK packages — bare-metal installation (for non-Docker environments)

For bare-metal installation, use the all-in-one package for your platform:

Installation commands:

sudo apt-get install -y ./deepstream-9.2_9.2.0-1_amd64.deb

tar -xjvf deepstream_sdk_v9.2.0_x86_64.tbz2 -C /
sudo ldconfig

Note: Do not mix individual component packages with the full SDK package.

Note: Replace the package name in the above commands with the appropriate deb or tarball for your platform.

Component packages — used internally by the build flow

These packages are downloaded and installed automatically by build/build.sh as part of the source build flow.

Note: Do not install these directly unless you have a specific reason (e.g., updating binaries without replacing sample data).

Note: Standalone Python package providing APIs for reference applications built on CVCUDA, NvImageCodec, and PyNvVideoCodec modules. Do not install if you want to install the full SDK deb/tarball or are doing a bare-metal DS mono-repo build — this wheel is not required in either case. Install only when your use case explicitly requires these Python bindings.
