Phase 5: complete Pi admission integration QA

Objective

Perform final cross-repository integration, QA, documentation/blog alignment, and head-matched independent review.

Context

• Tracker: GitHub goal delivery: close Pi attested-admission gaps #50
• Runs only after Phases 0-4 converge.

Scope

• Reassess all three branches against latest upstream without force-pushing Pi; record or resolve integration conflicts under repo rules.
• Run full validation matrix across Research, Pi, OpenShell, docs, and relevant E2E.
• Run the real demo from clean reset and capture sanitized output.
• Add dated QA report and align example/blog narrative to three checkpoints, one policy, one context hash, negative controls, and residual risks.
• Perform independent panel review of each current PR head and holistic cross-repo review; post Review Records.
• Non-goals: package release/publish; optional Phase 2b unless separately activated.
• Dependencies: Phases 0-4.

Acceptance Criteria

• All required checks and real demo pass or an external blocker is precisely documented.
• No stale names/config/comments/docs remain.
• Each draft PR has a Review Record matching its head SHA and green CI or precisely documented delegated/local validation state.
• Tracker final status records delivered guarantees and known limits.

Required Validation

Use the full tracker validation strategy, plus current upstream comparison and end-to-end demo.

PR Expectations

No merge or move from draft without repository policy and user direction. Any post-review commit invalidates the prior Review Record until re-reviewed.

Phase 5 has started under the POC ceiling.

The work is limited to: read-only latest-upstream comparison for all three branches, the required full validation matrix, one real demo.sh verify attempt without mocks, a dated QA record, and only surgical corrections to stale example/blog narrative. Optional Phase 2b, redesigns, compatibility layers, releases, merges, and moving draft PRs ready remain excluded.

All three branches include current upstream through normal merge/fast-forward operations; no feature branch was rebased or force-pushed. Pi PR #1 now shows the intended 20-file feature diff. Final panel review is clean with no blocker/high/medium findings. Research CI is fully green; OpenShell local pre-commit/test/Go CI and Docker smoke E2E pass, with delegated Branch/Helm status contexts still pending; Pi has no fork CI and its post-merge focused suites pass.

The acceptance criterion allowing a precisely documented external blocker applies to the real demo: this host lacks the prepared ignored runtime/workspaces and required provider/gateway environment. No mock was substituted. Phase 3/4 live-demo issues remain open for that configured run.

Delivered POC limits are now explicit: assistant thinking is scanned at egress but not append-admitted or context-hashed; assistant tool calls are denyable but immutable; transport-specific tool-history rewrites may fail closed; capability memory-reading risk remains; Phase 2b is excluded.
